I, personally, don't think it has to be bp related. My thought is more that it will give other people a glimpse inside our minds. The basis of fear lies in that which we don't understand. I think that by giving people who are not bp a glimpse into our minds it will help them 1)understand how we feel because of what we go through and 2)the unrelated poetry will show them that we are just like them in a lot of ways, the things that we think, the things that we feel, and the facts of life that we face just like them. Like I said, I want to help educate people about bp and help reduce the stigma attached to having a mi. I just think poetry is a great way to do it because I think it is one of the most emotionally honest forms of writing.

I say it should be about anything you find important to you! Not just bp related or depression related or whatever. Like outlaw said just a glimpse into the mind of a bp person it doesn't mean it has to be about bp.

I haven't added anything to the poetry collection here so I hope Im not speaking out of turn but I think this is a wonderful!!! idea. I would love to see such a book published and I would certainly purchase a copy and when I get my degree and go into practice I could loan copies out to newly diagnosed patients to inspire them to continue being creative and pursue things as well as find pieces of poetry that might help them in times they feel "no one has ever felt like this before! no one else could possibly understand how I feel right now."

Totally in;feel free to use anything i do. If there is anything I can do, please let me know. I think this is a wonderful idea. I also think that it is great that you aim to spread awareness and are challenging your energy toward something this big. I think it also a great step in your own healing process to help others ( i know i said that before but its true). Great idea!

I think I'd be fine with donating what I write, but I need to give it some thought - the poems I write here are very spur of the moment - I should go back and proof read. In real life I don't keep what I write, I usually tear it and burn it, secretive I suppose. But I could change that for a good cause.

I read in FAQ's that PC does publications, and you can get the "premier poohbah" symbol under your name if you donate written work.

I think it's a really good idea, and I hope you guys find a way to pull something together, I have all the faith that where there is a will, indeed there is a way. You guys are all very talented writers, I totattly think you should go for it!

I think it's a good idea. The way you remove stigma is through a medium which others connect with.

Right now I'm waiting on a response from pc to see if there is a way we can direct proceeds to them. Clinte said he was going to start organizing the actual poetry.
