Sooo, I had pelvic crush twice in 1 month. Then the weight I picked up over 3 months, dissapeares within days ( only 2kg, but STILL) So I went to see my gp. Also told him bout the time my spine was on fire for 3 weeks and I was bedridden, he was mortified that the state dr's were a waste of time, is openly worried about 'pelvic crush' and has ordered me to get blood tests and x-rays...I DONT WANT TO GO! Public health sucks! I can think of plenty other things to do than sit in uncomfortable benches all day

I can sympathize. Hate the waiting game in doctor's offices myself. We sometimes have to suffer through though, just to maybe get a little relief. I have 2 different doctor appointments set for this week. I am really dreading them.

So sorry LM3, it does suck! Jacky, I'm on a learnership, so technically unemployed... No benefits... Ugh, I honestly want to skip this whole x-ray blood test debacle... But then, If it happens again, I may need to fork out more Dr's fees just to get referred AGAIN! Fkn sucks

Thanks BM, basically it means spending an entire day, being ushered this way and that by irritable nurses, and MAYBE, I get helped, or get told to return the next day cos they've reached the amount of patients they see per day. So essentially it means me being anxious, pissed off and stressed out all day! Also means losing atleast 2 days of work cos I'll have to go back for results... I cant afford to lose money, I already make way too little

That's a tough spot either way. And no you don't want to have have to go through all that again. I remember how much pain you were in. And having to decide if you can afford to miss work to take care of your medical needs the whole thing really stinks! I don't know what you should do, but I hope if you decide to go that you would get lucky and get seen quickly in the first day.

They likely can't telephone you the results hey? I am sorry, this does suck. I wish everyone word wide has access to good medical care, proper treatment, and that people in need would be given the same priority as the rich. Call me a socialist or whatever, I hate seeing people like you and DH, and others here struggling between finances and medical expense. It's just so wrong on so many levels.

so sorry you have to make a decision around your heath. I hope you choose to go, I just would hate for it to happen again and then have to go through this whole process and waiting for referral again while your dying in pain. lots of and to you my amazing buddy.

All I can say is that when I had the chest crushing, at first the doctors said it was nothing but vitamin D deficiancy. It turned out it was caused by gallstones going into my liver. (For some reason it makes it feel like it's crushing your chest.) It started with only a few times, and short, and kept getting longer and longer. If not treated, I would have died.

(((Trippin))) This sounds like a nightmare I'm sorry you're in such pain and then having to take the public transit around and wait and wait and then somewhere with mean nurses. And missing work and waiting for results on top of everything.

I've waited all day at a public health place before when I was pregnant, just to be sent away at end of day because they couldn't get to me. It's a horrible feeling.

I hope you will choose to go too, would be good to take care of this soon and get it checked out thoroughly. I think it's your turn to be seen quickly and have a good mood nurse.

Ok, I think I got it figured out... I will stay at home, as per Dr's orders, but will go to work Wednesday and Thursday, so that I do not miss Big5 training.Then on Friday I will go have the darn tests done.This way, I miss 3 days instead of 4, and I'll use annual leave to cover the 3rd day.IF they send me home, unhelped, I will not return tho. Unhinged I am sometimes I admit, but downright crazy? Not so much. Will just live on painkillers whenever 'pelvic crush' strikes, until I can afford otherwise...

Well I was reading it can be pelvic fractures or other things that require surgery. It seemed a bit confusing because it can be a number of things but definatly not something to ignore trippin, so yes please follow dr's orders and take it easy!

Im agreeing with the others that this is something you should indeed get taken care of. Good to see you got things pretty much worked out timewise.

I hope they find out the problem and it is something easily treated so you wont ever have to go through that insane pain again !!!
