I really need to find something to do to help get rid of some of this energy. I think walking as much as I have this last week has ended up just screwing me over. My foot has started hurting so bad I can barely put any weight on it so I went to the ER yesterday. They put me up on crutches and referred me to see a specialist today. I still have so much energy and so little focus, I've been pacing through the house on my crutches. I need something to do. I have tried reading, but that didn't last. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm going nutso.

Play a really intense video game? That's a good way to release pent up energy without moving around too much. If you have a Wii, you can play games that require movement but mostly with your arms and not the rest of your body.

The video game idea is a good one. If you're not into that, though, maybe try drawing. Even if you don't draw normally. I find that drawing with pen or pencil releases a lot of energy.

Indeed drawing can help. I would say bounce around the house till your worn on but cant do that with your foot. Hmmm do you like cooking? You could cook. Or do you like building things like maybe a bird house with one of those kits from hobby lobby or something. Just a though.

I went to my pdoc after I went to the podiatrist today, and she is upping my Trileptal and Seroquel again, so maybe I'll at least get a little concentration back, so I can read. Appointment after appointment kept me pretty busy today, and I am going to my mom's for dinner, so that should be interesting. Thanks for all the suggestions, I might have to use them tomorrow if I still can't focus.

Hmmm, reading was my first suggestion. What about auditing a class at a local community college, or taking a night class in photography, pottety, art, or a skill to add to your resume. Also, volunteering is very rewarding!!

Peace & Hugs,
