I think I might be in a hypomanic phase, and it feels great! I have been feeling so much better lately, but I mean why wouldn't I? I had jazz band this morning, I got my science presentation over with, I got to take the easiest test ever in reading, and I was the only one to get 100% on the English test, and I didn't even study! Also, tomorrow I have health, which I just get to talk during, I get to watch people present, I have band, and I get to miss reading and English to go to a pep rally and play the tenor sax. The only downside is that I could have a geopraphy test tomorrow, but I think I will study for that in homeroom. A sign that I might be having a hypomanic phase is that I have been talking to people that I never talk to regularly. Also that I have been creating huge to do lists for myself, it feels sooo much better to have if all written down, I feel that way I will not have any chance of missing getting to do it, because I can't forget it then. Okay, I think I have typed enough. I just really needed to say something, it just bums be out that there is no one to talk to, I want to talk! But nobody on here ever posts on my stuff. Oh well, I have more researching to do! P.S., I will be frequently checking this to see if anyone commented on it.

I didn't know it was possible to be in control of it. I knew for me, I can't fully enjoy my hypomania because I never know if it will escalate into irratibility/ panic attacks, or a depression. I wish I knew how to enjoy it; I think it'd be a lot more beneficial.

I love being manic! My hubby doesnt always love it; my kids dont always love it. But I!!!! LOVE it!!!!!!! Even when I am being a hateful shrew- in that moment- I love it bc I get out all the anger and frustration. I feel horrid when I "come down" which usually throws me into an instant depression when I realize what I have said/done. But it doesnt always escalate to that- sometimes I am lucky enough to have one like Luv is having where I just giddy and productive and MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE!! I can DO anything, I can BE anything- Wonder Woman wants to be me when I am there... I haven't felt like that in so long...
Thanks for this!

I'm a big listmaker as well---I'm naturally organized, plus some of my meds have affected my short-term memory so I have to have a notepad close by always.

Plus I think they're fun to make....why I'm not sure.

Ehh, it has been going back and forth a bit lately. So I am not sure which phase I am in right now. Last night I was sure that I was depressed but then I got SUPER hypomanic and I got depressed a little bit again today. But right now I might be feeling a mix between the two.

You could have been a little stressed out before. You were freaked out about the science presentation, that could have had an effect on your mood.

Hi Luvdukie, welcome!!! Sorry if we haven't been posting on your stuff, the board moves fast sometimes, also when you're new, it doesn't allow your posts to show up for a few days or something.

Anyway, you've got me inspired and jazzed! I love your vibrant energy, and you make school sound very fun! I'm going to go back some day and get straight A's

I think I will give my turn to someone else. You can have it lol. mine comes with too many strings attached for me to do anything but go into a panic when I have it. I know the rage and the anger attached to it. I know the depression that always comes with it. the disruption to my life that it brings. Ugh... I hate it

When you get older, Iluvdukie, it won't be such a wonderful thing. Once you have had the eperiences of it ruining parts of your life... enjoy it while you can

I totally relate to this, and I've only been having hypomanic episodes--that carried these extra effects--for a couple of years, and they've been brief. In my early early twenties I believe I was hypomanic for years (undx-ed). It sucks when it turns into what you've mentioned.
