Which means, I'm off to get poked, prodded and scanned... Ugh. I went thru my old 'scream' thread from April when the back pain started, to write down every symptom I've had up till now... Gawd that was depressing and scary, my body really has gone nuts... Oh well, gotta suck it up, if I'm lucky, I have a nasty viral infection, or pinched nerve. Not so lucky, that weird auto-immune disease my aunt has or some form of arthritus, unlucky-I need a skeletal transplant. Atleast I'll have a book for company.Fml

I wish you luck; I hope it is not an autoimmune disease, although I know one woman who manages lupus quite well with alternative therapies. She is fully functional. But I hope you do not have to deal with it. A book for company is a great idea.

Yikes hope it's not an autoimmune disease. Celiac is one of them, yes lupus, my bf has one that is more rare, and not much known about it so not much treatment either.
I hope it turns out to be something simple with easy treatment Trippin, good luck. Keep us posted. Keeping fingers and toes crossed for you! ![]()

A skeletal transplant would work for me as well. If you lived here in Virginia it would only be 5:56p.m. Thursday.....Hope things work out...Let me know what they said.

Depends Trippin what the chronic something is, some can be managed quite well. But yes, ahh not so fun, I know. If you do suspect an autoimmune problem make sure they do the appropriate testing. I don't know how your dr's are there, well actually my GP is from South Africa, and he is pretty good too, hope you see someone who is good with this stuff.
But I know it took me years and years, my mother had been taking me to the dr's since I was born, and I didn't get an answer till this year. So be firm and push till you get an answer. I hope it doesn't go down like that for you at all. If there is no answer and symptoms still, they just did not find it yet. Usually that is the case, so don't settle for no answer. Enjoy your tea! Ohh that makes me want something, I got an awful cold. Hope the tummy settles down, take some big deep breaths with the tea. You are a great friend too! Always there for all of us! ![]()

That' doesn't sound to much like fun but I suppose it would be nice to have some answers. So you can treat it properly. I wish you luck and hope it all goes well.

Hi Trippin',
I am checking in late and just now seeing that you are in the process of testing.(Don't know when, it's not Friday here yet!) I'm having high hopes for a nasty viral infection at most, but hopefully much less. Many Hugs! Bluemountains ![]() |

Well, the great news is, I'll be done before 11am. The ****** news? 'what you describe doesnt match anything I've heard of, will send ufor the blood tests, and then make an appt with the resident family gp, he will determine if x-rays are needed and so forth...' WTF! Just like I thought, only worse. I'm not missing another day of work to hear the 5th DR say 'uhmmmm idk' .... FAAAAAAAAAAAAK THIS!

![]() I am sorry, wow ya how frustrating!! Are the blood tests ones that have not been done yet? That really sucks. I know you explained how you have to go and wait and hope you get called before they close. What a frustrating system. I do hope you get the blood work done up and stuff tho. Is there anyway to do this without having to miss work? Understandable why missing work isn't an option. I know how much it sucks to get zero answers, I am really sorry. . ![]()

Here's how it went down: Dr was miffed that my gp had the balls to want blood work and x-rays, he says state doesnt take orders from private sector, so out the door goes my x-rays! He never ever heard of my symptoms, but instead of sending me to a fkn specialist, he passes me to the next gp. Who I can only see in November! Who will then send me god knows where before ordering x-rays, and ALL of these appointments are weekdays ONLY! weekends are for emergencies. I AM NOT GOING BACK. Fk this!

Sorry it all is going down like this, Trip. I have undiagnoised pain in my right knee- debilitating level of pain most times. I went thru so many drs that looked at me like I was either 1) looking for attention, 2) out of my mind or 3) looking for narcotics. I finally found a dr that is willing to prescribe meds and work thru all the tests slowly so we aren't financially devestated by the charges but I have to go every month and the waiting is hrs long. I have no idea how I'll manage this when I graduate and get a "real job." I know no employer is gonna put up with me missing a day of wk each month but I'm trying to just live for today and be grateful that I have some help for now.

Aww, Trippin! I am just now checking to see how you are doing. I am so sorry that you had such a frustrating day. It sounds like you have to deal with a health system that sucks. Or maybe you just got a doctor with an attitude. Can I send him a nasty email? He can't harm me across the Atlantic.
Btw, I've been thinking of you because we just got a teacher from South Africa at the school where I work. It is part of a global studies program, and she will be teaching kindergarten. Why couldn't that be you? Then you could get some timely healthcare! Many ![]() Bluemountains |
