Hello all! I'm new here and have been lurking around for a couple of weeks. You all seem to be close. I use to hang out in Daily Strength forum but sometimes they can be very immature. You guys seem to really support each other better here.
A little about myself, I was dxed in 93 with BP1, ADD and CFS. I've been married to a wonderful patient man 8 yrs younger than me for 17yrs. At 18 yrs old he took on me and my son knowing about the BP and has loved me through the worst times. We have 3 kids. One from prior marriage, one of our own and were raising my niece. I was doing good on a particular regime of meds for about 8-9 yrs then suddenly spiraled down.. The past three yrs have been hell. Went through a ton of meds, now on 8 different ones and barely hanging on. I fight every day to see some sort of light. My next step if these meds don't work is ECT. My main problem is energy or the umph to get up and do things. I can take my 60 mg of adderall and a five hr energy and still not have enough umph to get off the couch. I'm not really depressed at this time just no energy. Anyone know of any natural energy supplements?
Also I'm full of knowledge myself so if you need someone to talk to, I'm the one! I'm looking to build a circle of friends.
Thanks for taking the time to read
D

hi D, welcome I knew there were lurkers out there haha. You are on so many meds it sounds. Which ones can you take a break from? I get sluggish liver and do cleanse here and there.

I have adderall too. I don't take it everyday. It's really harsh on the body. If you can take a break from that one for about a week, you might notice a good improvement when you start it up again.

Also, I've had great results with the fresh lemon squeezed in ice water, pretty amazing results. Take care, thanks for joining us and saying hi.

did you have medical check up if you don't have some physical problem?

how's your eating? Maybe your body is deprived of some needed minerals and vitamins (some meds can rob you of the essentials, so you have to be even more careful with your diet).

Hi D,
Welcome, this is a great, supportive site! I love all of my friends here. I don't know of any supplements you can take. Have you had your thyroid checked? I have hypothyroidism, and when the medication loses effectiveness, I can barely function.

I look forward to getting to know you.

hi D. nice to meet you. what is CFS may i ask. welcome to psych central. i struggle with some of the same issues. i have very low energy, get sick a lot, have depression, DID, athritis, fibromyalgia, asthma and very low energy. i'm on a lot of meds too which i think might be causing some of the low energy. strangely enough i have been craving lemon in water too like our above friend. do know you'll find much friendship, love and support here. wish i knew how to get you more energy because then i would have it too. wishing you the best. may angels surround you.

Its nice to meet you all. thanks for the warm welcome. CFS is chronic fatigue syndrome. Dr has ran me through a ton of test. Everything you could possibly think of. Tried going down and taking breaks from meds only to spiral down into depression. I'm one of those hard to treat BP's. As a matter of fact when we were in the AF I was the only civilian that got treated by base doctors because of the difficulty of my case. I guess they were intrigued and I was like a tiger in a cage because I went in every week regardless if I was stable or not.
