I was diagnosed with bi-polar 2 almost a year ago & am still struggling with learning to live with it. Most of the time I live in denial, but I suppose taking medication daily should be indication enough. That with seeing a psychologist bi-weekly and a psychiatrist bi-monthly. The good news is I've gotten past most of my fears & shock & the most positive aspect is my family likes the "new me".

Its a very hard thing to come to terms with. It took me a couple of years to even believe the doctors and start taking the meds. Im glad I finally believed them though because I was becoming a danger to myself. I ran up 20,000 in debt in 2wks, I ran out on my family for a whole year. It was time that I realized what was going on and i hope my family likes the new me too. So happy your family lets you know that they appreciate the new you.

Glad to hear you're learning skills to coping and your family is seeing a positive change in you. That's really good news.

It can be hard to come to terms with but the positive changes will help you.

Glad your family likes the new you.

I don't like the version of me on medication.

I was diagnosed many years ago and I'm still in denial at times. You're making strides! Good for you.
