It went pretty good I think. Ok so there is only my boss, one other housekeeper who started today too, a lady that does laundry, a front desk girl and handy man, plus some higher ups. There are other full time staff in other offices.

In november they will bring in the seasonal staff. So until then just us, she said that we should be good enough by then to help train the 30 or so employees they will be bringing in.. opps no one told me that. But it went pretty good. I only got lost one time in one corridor, not till the end of the tho, pretty good for me. You have to move so fast from this hotel to the next and back again, then over to a diff one, we didn't get a tour just dove in, so ya just mazes of walls, and doors, and carpeting. Dizzy..

The hotels are beautiful, I worked in three of the hotels today, and a few houses. I am pretty darn tired, since it's deep cleaning it's like moving the stoves and fridges all that, the units even have washer and dryers in them. The only bad part is that I have to come back to my little place afterwards haha.

They already tried to rope me into more shifts, but I can't do it per my disability. My bf told me to watch out for that, I have a hard time saying no, but I would be working for free basically if I go over.

And the only other bad thing is that time is going to fast now, and it will be bed time, and back to work in the morning. I am so used to time going pretty slow. Just not used to it.

Thank you guys, you helped me have a really good start to my new job! I barely slept last night, so hopefully tonight will be better.

Oh and snow, none down here in the valley yet, but I got to see quite a bit of snow today, pretty cool. Oh and my kids well all very sweet to me when I got home, I think even kinda proud.

Well my flu symptoms seem to be kicking into high gear again, if it is a flu.. I don't know anymore, but I sure have the chills, aches, cough, and headache.

Hey, thank you Dan!

Yes ! I am so happy your first day went so well

I bet once the seasonal people are showing up you will be able to train them in a snap

Sorry your still having the pesky flu systems

Make sure you try and get some extra sleep

There is a bunch of ALT codes that you can use when typing. Try googling 'typing French accents'...

That's great, Anika!

Don't worry about having to train others later. The key to training is just knowing how to do a good job, and then expressing those tips to others. (Like you do on the forum, actually.)

I'm glad it went well. I agree time goes too fast after work. I hate that. I feel like I get home, eat, and it's time to sleep.

Way to go Anika! Every day should be easier from now on. It must be nice to go to a beautiful place to work. I used to get that advantage when I lived at the foothills of the mountains. I miss that so much.

Yea, Anika! Thanks for letting us know how it went. Yeah, the time thing will take some adjusting. Snow seems to be most fun when you can "visit" it.
Sorry to hear your flu (or whatever it is) is kicking up. Lots of and continuing success!

(H-B, in addition to the way Trippin' mentioned, you might try holding down the key (of the letter you want modified) when you are typing it. In a couple of seconds, a "menu" of various forms of that letter will appear above. Then just click the one you want. Not sure if that's common to other keyboards/programs or whatever, just discovered it by accident one day on my Mac. And shouted, "COOL!" Lol.)

That was über easy - on a Mac, type OPTION+U and then type "e". Thank you.
