There have been 7 lovers in my life and 1 one night stand. The odd thing is that Im only 33 and was faithful for 15 yrs to my husband the others were the guy I lost my virginity to the boyfriend after him and the manias Ive had as a teen and in the past couple years. I feel awful for that. So out of character for me. So 8 for me.

I've had 5 actual lovers, but about 16 one night stands, from when I was manic in college. Me and my husband have been together 8 years in November, and married 3 1/2 years. I am so glad I found him.

Is lover meaning mutual relationship? Or someone loving you but u didn't like them count?

Not anywhere even near how many moves I've made or places I've worked(!) 'Cause that's just the way my hypo rolls.

We are of course talking no-holds-barred (so to speak, lol) physical. Well, duh, right? But I can think of a number of instances where my mind was quite out of control (and I don't mean passing thoughts) but kept to itself.
Had to sit down and think. It's not that many, but, uh, half (3) were truly bizarre choices. And two of those had two other very out-of-character elements. (This, in addition to some other stuff is really making me wonder if "suppressed evidence" so to speak, sets the BP start earlier...) Anyhow! Pretty sure I've got an accurate count. The biggest question mark is someone I just can't remember if it went that way. Relationship, yes. To the "line of demarcation" of the question? I honestly can't remember for absolutely sure(!) Here's the irony in that. Turned out he's bipolar. (2 BPs, in a relationship within the general timeframe of other WTH behavior on my part and THAT'S the one I can't remember??!!! Lol.)

So, let's go with likelihood over memory reliability, count him and call it 7. All relationships, zero one night stands. Not my style. Believe it or not, all the time since 1984 has been the last 2, including 25 years with ex. Total physical fidelity till very end, which would be current one. And best, btw.

Regrets: 3. Could've done without those bad choices. Ugh. WTH?! And this all is surely not to say that I haven't made decisions that perplex me to this day and driven others up a wall (in that they liked me way more than I could've given a damn), but those aren't within the parameters of your question, 'cause that would be relationships and other weirdness, not lovers.

(Misswimmy, yeah, I'm quite sure we're not talking just relationships one-sided or not, or making out or whatever, but you know... actual sexual partners.) 'Cause if it was about all the other too and what goes on in my mind, it'd get damn complicated. Speaking for myself at least. )

Now take a poll on how many of the people that answered that they had been with at least 41+ "lovers" have been diagnosed with BPD and I'll bet you get close to 100%.

Just husband.......& even with a bad marriage....just husband.....& even after left my husband 5 years ago.....just husband......& now that I am finally getting the divorce.....it will still be just husband.

Thank you....I do not need a man in my life to make me feel valuable or loved. My 5 dogs & caring friends provide all the care I need & all the people to care for that I need also.
