I dunno if that's it tho genetic, I only reached grade 9 in most subjects, some of which I failed.

I think the kind of statements these people make is a big part in them not being able to to seperate the individual from the illness. The ones who hurt them, well everything bad they did must be because of bipolar, nothing to do with the individual.

I glanced at the one about us all being in jail, so ridiculous, don't you have to commit a crime and be tried and sentanced to go to jail. Whats more crazy is that hate speech in my country is a crime. That's not crazy, but using hate speech to reason that inocent people should be in jail is crazy.

I know, Anika, and you're right. Lack of education is not the only reason for stigma. I've seen it in people who are trying to cover for their own inadequacy by putting a selected group up for attempted punishment. It's the same as saying that those folks are trying to make themselves look good by putting others down.

I wonder if it really works, however. Too many times, when we look closely at what another person thinks and says, we understand that he or she is just revealing his/her own sickness of thought or whatever one wants to call it.

It's the @#$% negativity that's so prevalent among some levels of humanity.

Thanks, Anika.

Wow, Blue, I have to admit my curiosity got the best of me and I read a little bit. It is so sad that others have to suffer at the hands of us bp people. You can find forums on just about anything, can't you? And, I will say, the boards I visit now, and have visited in the past have been very helpful in my healing. I choose to find friends I can identify with.

It seems ignorance is the leading MI of today. Some very insecure people, probably the type who would post complaints about having to change their diet for a severely diabetic spouse, or build a wheelchair ramp for their paralyzed boy/girlfriend. It's all about what's best for those poor, poor "normies".
