the fun and the exciting too. I feel like it's new again... but I know it's just the med increase.

it's all new
but it's a catch 22
for soon it will be old again
and just like before I will get stuck in...

the blah
the mundane
the self pity
it's so insane!

I don't know, Dan... it isn't the med it's that the med is doing what your body can't. Let's make an example.

So you're depressed. That means your seretonin (or however it is spelled) isn't cross the gap between your nervs properly. For whatever reason you (and all the rest of us) have this malfunction in the body. So, when you take your meds, it helps your body function the way it's supposed to.

So, don't think of "oh I just feel better because of a pill." It's "I feel better because my body is now functioning properly." Does that make sense?

I sure like that. Basically the med is restoring the body to where it should have been if not for the deficit.

i think the problem is elsewhere, dan...

...... why are you afraid of feeling good? do you think you don't deserve it? or are you secretly afraid... not to be able to "handle" it?

or is there something else missing? what would make you genuinely happy?

I don't trust it I guess. It is easier to stay in this state than to allow the good and just have it go away again. What would make me genuinely happy is to not have to worry all the time bout pissing off my spouse.

Dan,

Feeling good comes and goes whether your Bipolar or not . Just know that if it goes away you can help it return.

Now as far as pissing off your wife ...Does she has a good understanding of Bipolar? Does she know that at times you need her support more than others? Does she get upset at you over it? Sometimes everyone gets there wires crossed and assume things about the other .
