Well, I told my parents. I am so glad I did! My parents are being so supportive of this, I am so relieved. My mom has already set up am appointment for Tuesday at 9:00 A.M., so I will get to miss school. She said that if I ever need to take a break and just stay home for the day, that I can do that. Also, she says that she wishes I would have told her sooner, she felt bad. She even told me something that she hasn't told anyone but my dad, she is taking medication for depression and anxiety. She is really understanding and gets it completely, she also tried to make sure that I knew she wasn't mad at me in any way. Overall, I am very glad that I did this, I can finally get some answers! But now, I feel kind of weird and like I can't show my natural emotions around her, I feel like she is watching me. But I am sure this feeling will go away once I get used to it all. Also, I get to go to Florida with her as like a little "break". So right now, things are going pretty well for me.

Really great news! So glad you have your parents' support!!!!!!!

See, we mom's are pretty smart, she probably knew something was up.

I'm very happy you've been able to get a soon appointment as well! New doctors are sometimes 6 weeks wait or more!
Thanks for this!

I'm really glad for you! This is really great news! Don't feel weird or like you have to hide your emotions. To have a parent who understands and wants to help you and advocate for you is a blessing.

Yeah, I think I will be more okay with being "myself" after a little bit. It has been easier today.

That's great, I'm glad you finally did it, and it turned out really well! It seems like you have good parents. Have fun in Florida, the weather's been great here lately (At least Central Florida)

I am so happy and proud for you!!! I was crossing my fingers your parents would be understanding--I know how stressed you were about that--what a relief for you that they are!

That is amazing your mom has offered a "mental health day" for you if you don't feel like going to school. And that you get to have a little trip to Florida. As someone else mentioned, not all parents are so willing, open and understanding.

You're a strong young lady, I knew you could do it!!!!
