Things have been strained between me and my oldest son since he went off on me tue saying what I crappy mom I have become. I get along well with his wife but she is kinna immature and wks a LOT. My husband makes me a football widow every yr and its usually no big deal to me but today I would have really been blessed to have him spend some time w/ me. I even tried to tell him so but all I got was fussed at and he went right back to the couch :-( But my younger of my 2 grown sons' wife wks mostly nights and he gets bored at the apt w/ out her and the laundry at his complex is broken so he has had her drop him and my grandson off here while she is at wk and he gets some laundry done and he hangs out w/ me. Its really been the bright spot of my last couple wks... I hope it take the maintenance man at their complex a long, long time to fix those machines!

I agree God does work in a way that we will never understand. I know adult kids can say very mean things. I hope you and your oldest son talk, come to an understanding and work things out. I'm not sure if you participate in local support groups NAMI (www.nami.org) has groups everywhere. Consider going and encouraging your husband and sons to attend. There are support groups for family members of people with a mental illness. I'm glad your able to spend time with your youngest son and grandchild.
