She asked me if there were any support groups---physical or online---I'm a member of. I told her this one and she said this is a good one.

She told me to make a point of becoming more active, responding to posts more and posting a bit more myself. Those are things I'll defiently do, especially when it comes to responding to posts. I feel really bad about that.

Anyway, just thought I'd pass that on.

It has been very helpful to me these past 2 months I've been around.
As I settle in and stabilize I bet I'll be supportive too.

While this site is far more helpful than other sites I've visited, BPHope.com also has good info about bipolar issues. For personal reasons I'm currently boycotting BPHope, but you might find info relevant to your issues.

When I told my p-doc that I am active on PsychCentral, he nodded: he knew the site.

My psychiatrist also approves of my being involved with this site. He knows what a technophile I am and almost always asks how I'm doing online---I nearly got banned last winter from a nursing site I'd been with for 10 years for posting personal attacks, so he checks with me periodically to make sure I'm behaving myself.

This site has helped me more than I can ever express. Especially when no-one is around IRL

I really feel like this site saved me when I was completely lost. It was the only light I had left at that time. If there is anything such as destiny or fate, I believe it lead me here.

Dittos dark_heart_x. I was so down when I joined and have felt supported, cared for and lifted up. Wondered how on earth I could ever help anyone and now I feel better..... and know I can help out with supporting others too.

People on this site have unkowingly changed my life, for the best. What really more can I say. It's the site, how it is run, and the people here who make it what it is!
