I haven't been here in more than a year, and I can see some of the people I knew are gone. I have been through a huge relationship meltdown and a deep near-suicidal depressive cycle in the time I was away.

I'm back out the other side of this thing, and headed the right way. I remember when I was first here, looking for someone to connect with because I was all alone with my symptoms, I found support here. Nina Aquino was a friend I met here, and she helped me a lot.

Now that I am doing better, I wanted to come by and "give something back" now that I actually can. I'm insightful and a great listener. I've been through some serious poop, and am glad to talk about it and share my experiences. I don't give advice or fix problems... I'm just a good guy who listens and cares.

I have a blog as well. I write about mental health issues, life, relationships, poetry, sports and video games. A live-running faucet attached to the side of my head, if that sort-of insanity interests you.

I hope I can help. I'm just trying to do right by a community, from whom I have taken so much, but given so little in return.

Thanks!

I fell for a girl who didn't know how to be with a mentally ill guy, and eventually, that fell apart. I self-blamed to near-suicide, and got help, better meds, new doctor, new therapist, the whole shebang. Got back on top of it just a few weeks ago, really. After months of balancing the meds, I think we're about there. Close, for sure.

So, I've returned to help a great community that helped me when I was needing it. I hope I can do the same for someone else.

it's so nice to hear from you (even though we've never met) it's always nice to hear back from old members to see how they are doing.

i hope you'll stay around to join the conversations

Thanks for the replies. I just got back from therapy and I'm going to go creatively express all of the horrible sad feelings THAT whole exercise in self-reflection trudged up.

I will be actively posting, listening and understanding as best I can. I'm not an advice-giver. Hey, I've screwed up at life enough times to disqualify myself from unwanted pontifications to unsuspecting peers.

Glad to be back, either way. =)
