Last month when I went to the pharmacy with my monthly scripts, the pharmacy was short of xanax. They gave me a 3 day supply and told me to come back then. I actually stretched the medication out for 4 days b4 I went back. The ***** holes put it in the computer that I picked up the entire script that day. SO I was afraid this would cause a problem so I called the pharmacy last night to make sure everything would be ok today. I was told by the pharmacist that he would fill it. I went in today to get my meds and was told I could not get my xanax. The pharmacist on duty even said the other workers knew the other pharmacist had agreed to fill them today! But she still refused! I am now w/out my meds for 4 days!!! I am so angry. I called customer service and I wrote an email but so far I have not heard back. Just fyi, this was at Walmart and I will be transferring all my family's meds somewhere else next month b/c of this. What bs! Why should I have to suffer thru 3 sleepless nights b/c they did not have my med in stock last month!

Oh I have stopped going to Wal-mart pharmacy also because they are so incompitant. I definately looked like a crazy lady half the time dealing with them.
![]() I discovered the Target pharmacy by my work has excellent customer service as does the Safeway by my house. I use those now. But, I think in the end it all depends on the staff and not necessarily the company behind them.

I think Xanax is a controlled substance. If you really want to get serious with the pharmacist who filled the prescription, call the pollice into it and find out whether the drug was taken from their inventory or if, in fact, it was an honest mistake.
It may not be worth your time. The best thing to do, in my view, is to call your doctor and ask for a new prescription and take that to another pharmacy where the integrity might not be in question. Honest mistakes occur in business, and it may be nothing more than that. But the pharnacist who offered to fill it for you and then refused may be questionable, too, since he has access to records and can easily determine if a drug was filled. I'd take my prescriptions elsewhere in the future, unless I got an apology from the company handling your medications. |

This has happened to me before at Walmart too. I went in person and did not leave until they finally understood I had only been given a few days worth because they were out of stock. What a hassle it was. Once it was all said and done I did inform them I would be calling in my refills 5 days in advance to make sure they would have the medication in stock.
Since the pharmacy is open 7 days a week just keep on them to fix this mess! I am so sorry this has happened to you ![]()
