Diagnosed with Bipolar II 4 years ago. Tried medication but found it stopped my creative thinking and impaired my cognition so went off it. Now controlling the depressive side of the illness with an antedepressant. Am in a hypomanic stage. Surviving on very little sleep but feel incredibly creative and wired. Am scared of my impulsive behaviour when I am like this. Spent $1800 in one day last weekend. Any ideas of how to control this without medication? How long does the hypomania last? Last time I was like this wsa before my diagnosis and I had an affair and left my husband and children.

I have a hypothesis that a little THC works well for hypomania, but I haven't really tested it. I live in a state with legal medicinal cannabis; do not know about you.

Toys, MMA, & exercise help. We also have a 6 month rule for divorce. I have no drivers license. You may want to hand yours to your husband if possible.

Thank-you Kris. Kris is right MMA is Mixed martial arts. I'll try to stop using non PC acronyms. We practice
but only my husband and son are part of a dojo and compete.
