Just a curiosity, but what is the stupidest thing you've done while manic? It doesn't necessarily have to be the stupidest thing, if that is something you don't feel comfortable sharing, but just something stupid you've done while manic.

For example, my girlfriend and I got into an argument the other day about our daughter. I don't think she is disciplined enough when she should be, and my girlfriend doesn't think she is rewarded enough when she is good. We really haven't bought her much lately, except for clothes and stuff for school, so the manic part of me decided if she though we should buy her stuff, I was going to make it happen. We haven't had a whole lot of money lately because I'm on short term disability right now, but I was going to get some. I disconnected my whole computer, put that, my laptop, my games and manuals all in my car with intention of selling it all and using the money to go buy her a bunch of stuff she doesn't need. Logically, I know that is not what she meant when she said rewards, but my manic self didn't care.

So what have all of you done while manic that either you would have regretted or did regret? I just have a curious. Mine is by no means the worse thing, but that will come later, I think.

Hmmm stupid when manic well I guess the stupidest thing for me was and always will be when I was to a point of wild uncontrollable paranoia and thought everyone was out to get me including the government and that my family was involved with them. I did some pretty wild things for them to not get me lol. I would also say I bought a boat to live on I recall it being this great dream of mine still is really but this time I acted on it took out a loan and bought a boat I liked now you have to think I was 21 at the time had a minimum wage job and bought a boat that required loan payments and a slip fee and insurance. So yeah there ya go but I do have to say I enjoyed that purchase everyday for about a year.

The beginning of this manic phase I decided I needed a new car. With what I was looking at, and what I had for a down payment (which was nothing, btw) I would have been looking at payments between 300 and 400 dollars. Sometimes it's hard to pay the 125 I have to now for the car I have. And I couldn't trade that in because it is my gf's name, and title jumping is illegal here. So I would be looking closer to 400 to 500 dollars in car payments. Luckily the fact that i had no down payment and not much established credit stopped that. Otherwise I would probably have to hope it was a big enough car for the three of us to live in.

The absolute hands down stupidest thing was getting married to someone when I was totally manic... don't recommend making major life decisions if you're not feeling well.
