Ooh! I've made that mistake too, and I always am SOoo mad at myself. I'm sure it's not an uncommon mistake. Sorry you have to wait until January, tho. That is the pits!

I forget things like that all the time. It will be so important and I'll think of it every day until it's time and then, I forgot. It happens to me a lot.

I have done that so many times Skipper. Hmm maybe there is a way to get in a bit sooner.. Maybe if you call back and be persistant. Sorry that happened. I would just insist I need a sooner app. My pdoc was goos about that. I hope that would work for you.

BuggggggsBunnnny!! There you are, I made a thread quite a while ago asking where you were. You were missed.

Oh, I did that one time with my new psychologist......I knew when I had her appointment......but had something that I needed to take my truck in for (not that it couldn't have waited until later). I was sitting in the waiting room of the mechanic shop & it hit me that my appointment was right then......I called the office & appologized but let them know what a stupid mistake I had made. Ended up costing me a no-show charge.....I have been very careful since then.....& schedule my appointment on the same day as my DBT group so that I know not to go anywhere other than there for the whole day.

I know that the more things I have on my mind the harder it is to remember things. I am forever loosing things also, the more things I have going on in my mind......just the way the mind works at times & when we find it happening quite a bit, we just have to focus more on the details & double check ourselves all the time.

Know we feel stupid when things like this happen, but it's how the brain functions when there are too many things going on in our life & in our mind
