i know i've had this... let me explain what i mean

okay- i hated robbie williams until i heard his song feel... and someone commented to me that 1 of the lines " i don't wanna die, but i'm not keane on living either" could be to do with the fact that robbie is actually bipolar. and now, i love him... i don't even know if he is, but i'm obsessed with getting his stuff, and listening to his music

same goes for EA- now she is, and if she wasn't, i doubt i'd like her at all... it's like, just because someone is the same as i am, i have to get their stuff, and then put it on a totally diffrent shelf

oh.... and i can't tell anyone else they are bipolar.

so like... last month i ordered an emily autumn album from amazon and i didon't want my parents or anyone to be in when it arived- it was an intense anxiety about it

so does anyone have this obbsession?

that if they have the same disorder as you, like them or not, they become your instant obbsession?

I'm fascinated with Catherine Zeta-Jones, who "came out" last year when she was diagnosed. Mainly because I wanna know what meds she's on---that girl is SKINNY!! Whatever she's taking, I want some

Nope! However I did go through a phase of loving a Doctor in the UK television show Casualty (Uk's equivalent to USA's ER) The Doctor in question became ill while working and took a psychotic episode which made her iagnosis come out. She was diagnosised BP 1 around the same time as me and I was pretty hooked on her. I have been told that it was my OCD coming out in me that made me feel and act in this way

I'm not obsessed with any stars with bipolar but do think its good when they open up and share their stories. Maybe helps lessen the stigma.

I am interested though when I hear rumors about some of my favorites stars, like Ben Stiller and charlie Sheen. I know Richard Dreyfuss has it. He said Lithium saved his life.

Nope, I've never experienced this, but then again I'm kinda fulllashit and only like people things and places on merit, the merit in this case being 'meeting my standards'... Nope I've never started liking celebs over a dx, music - wise I cant even fathom it, like how could I go from being a Metal fan, to buying Hip-Hop, just bcoz of a minute detail You intrigue me...

I'm not bipolar but Emilie Autumn is a great example. I love her songs about mental health issues. She kind of scares me though.

Robbie Williams was featured in the Stephen Fry documentary "The Secret Life of the Manic Depressive."

Who is EA?

Demi Lovato is bipolar. I can really relate to her (even though she is a lot younger) because of the whole "creativity" issue. When I was thinking that I couldn't possibly be bipolar and there must be a mistake, I saw an interview with her and she was talking about how she would stay up all night writing songs. Then it clicked for me.

If you haven't seen "The Secret Life of the Manic Depressive," you should find it on YouTube and watch. There are short pieces of it, but someone has uploaded it as Part I and Part II so you don't have to keep finding the next video and clicking to start them.

I don't get obsessed but do think it helpful when some celebs come out. I like how C. Zeta-Jones came out.

to anser your points 1 by 1:

EA (emily autumn) is a bipolar woman from america.

she has a lot o f songs about her experiences, a book, she plays the violin, and she does poetry- but a lot of it's close to home... so don't listen to it if you are easily triggered.

demmie lovato..... is that the girl out of sunny with a chance?

i did think she could be.... i've got a few of her albums- and the clue to me was in some of her song lyrics

and as for the steven fry documentry, i think i'll pass... steven fry is soooo boring!.

i watched a couple of episodes of his QI- and QI exel- and i just can't focus on them... i know, totally goes agains what i said in my original post... but yeah!

if their's any cure for sleep just find something with steven fry in it

I don't know if I've heard all of her songs but I like:

Remember
save you
opheliac
i want my innocence back
miserly loves company
gothic lolita
dead is the new alive
let the record show
(okay lets just say all of opheliac, that album is amazing)
fight like a girl
girls girls girls
take the pill

Edit: I just realized you asked for what I HAD not my favorites!

Unfortunately I haven't given EA any of my money yet, I've only downloaded from torrents. Her albums are expensive so when I get a job I'll actually purchase them.

what album is Remember and
save you

never heard of it i don't think!

agree opheliac is an awsome album... i like the art of suicide (which is actually her fave song too!)

hmm i think again... anything from that album

hmm let's see.

what do i have of EA:

chambermaid (ep)

by the sword

enchant (actually was the last one on amazin so was lucky to get it)

opheliac (limited edition, with extra tracks and an interview with EA)

laced/ unlaced (though i don't really like that because it's all instrimental)

4 o clock

girls just want to have fun/ bohemian rapsedy

and fight like a girl

and on my computer i've got a whole lot of extras not on her albums

agree that they are expensive... extremely.

I dont, but I don't have any favorite celebs anyways. They are just people like any one else. I have a hard time finding alot of interst in them over people I actually know. I don't know any celebs, and whether or not they have MI just doesn't matter to me. They might have bipolar and we could be worlds apart in experiences.

Enchant, I think it was her first and it's completely different from her others. It's much less industrial and more fairy tale like.

I'm a huge Brittany Spears fan. I LOVE some of her music, but I also love the fact that she has done so much in such a short life, even though she has the same issues that I do!

See, I love Britney for her silly, dirty, sexy, dancey fluff. I don't care if she is bipolar or not. (I mean, i am kinda sorry for her, because she's the reflection of our time... but that does not change my perception on her music, which i sometimes like to blast, dance like fool and singalong to).

Britney Spears has bipolar? I must have missed something, although I guess I don't really care that much. I find it sad that celebrities such as Britney Spears, Lindsey Lohan, Charlie Sheen, etc. are given so much attention in the news. Even the "good" ones, like Taylor Swift get a lot of air time. I enjoy listening to music; however, half the time I don't even know who the artists are!
