Hey all. I have a few questions about bipolar meds. I've been on everything under the sun and nothing really works. I have a very high metabolism for the medications and they constantly need to be adjusted. Do any of you take as many or as high a dosage as what I am laying out for you? Just curious. Please let me know. I have been on over fifty different meds and hundreds of combinations so if you know of something new or old that might work, I am taking suggestions. Thanks. Happy Holidays.

500 mg Depakote = 2 AM 3 PM = 2500 mg total
200 mg Zoloft
300 mg Seroquel = 3 PM = 900 mg total
0.3 mg clonidine
4 mg Risperdal
125 mcg Levothiroxine (thyroid)
50 mg Vistaril
1 mg Ativan
200 mg Celebrex (migraines)

How is Celebrex supposed to work for migraines? Is it preventive or abortive?

I've already tried ECT. I had almost thirty treatments and it worked for a month with the hallucinations but not the voices. But thanks for the input. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year.

Yes, it works as long as I take two 500mg tablets of Tylenol with it. Thanks for reading. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year.

How do you guys get used to the Seroquel? I have 150mg XR at night and if I take it, I don't remember anything from the next day and I sleep all day. Even a third of a pill makes me like a zombie. Cannot do it since I have 3 kids, so cannot afford to be total useless all day.

andrea I think it has a lot to do with the person. I've always had a hard time falling a sleep on a good night with 200mg of Serouqel and .75 mg of Klonopin I can fall asleep in less than 45 minutes, on a bad night - sometimes it takes me closer to 1 1/2 hours. And I develop a resistance to Ambien quite quickly. However, 5 mg of Abilify left me feeling groggy and zombie ish all day and I was never able to ad just to that.
Thanks for this!

If meds aren't working could you try non medical things in addition like therapy, journaling, sleep schedules and exercise.

And how's your objective living situation? If it's bad... then working on solving that first is in order. Same goes for unreasolved traumas.
