They've upped my anti-psychotic and i'm already on an anti-convulsant and two anti-depressants.

Seeing LOTS of shadow people and hearing stuff that I know is not my alts.

Anyone else suffering currently with psychotic features? I saw psychosis listed in the sz forum but they haven't told me i'm sz.

Yeah I hear voices pretty often. Nobody seems too worried about them.

I cant say im currently suffering from that but while on a certain med i did. I heard voices (deamons and angels who were after my soul) and saw and talked with my deceased husband and God. I felt as though i was possesed and was way out of reality. I communicated with the dead through writing or so i thought i was. That lasted for months until i stopped taking the meds and even after for a few months that. I now have ptsd from that expierence and suffer from beliving im going to hell. Also i still believe i can sometimes communicate with my husband through writing and sometimes deamons cut in and call me bad names like b**ch. I know its not real but i still go through it. Your not alone. Im diagnosed bipolar1 with phsycotic features among many other things.

During depressive episodes, they're quite bad, negative voices that loops around in perpetual circles, very unnerving. In between episodes, light stuff that dont really bug me, music, objects, singing, nothing disturbing. Its not uncommon, I have a BP2 diagnosis btw.

I hear and see things all the time that aren't there.. no one seems terribly worried (although they have brought up possibly trying to diagnose schizophrenia as well but it would require a long hospitalization and going completely medless - we're avoiding that route unless absolutely necessary). I've also had several complete psychotic breaks lasting anywhere from 45 min or so to several hours. Apparently psychosis can be a side effect of antipsychotics and my doctor and T had a little meeting and decided unless I was a danger to myself or someone else or the psychotic episodes increased in severity or duration and I have someone who can stay with me until they go away there's no need to do anything about them.

Yes, I do have a safety plan... it's very long and drawn out in my OCD, anxiety driven I have to know what happens in the worst case scenario kind of way. I even made a list of things for someone to bring to me at the psych hospital should I have to commit myself. The first time I was unprepared. Having a very detailed safety plan was important to me. So important that when I bought my house I bought one that was no more than a 5 min drive from either of my parent's houses and one close friend so someone could get to me quickly and easily. My house also has a keyless entry so they don't have to worry about finding the right key.

I hear things on a regular basis and only see things when I'm really bad. But the hearing voices has become constant these past few days. But like everyone else has said it's quite common in bipolar people. Although psychotic features outside of a mood episode is something you might want to be concerned about...

No voices really... but seeing things, distortion of time and space continuum, feeling unreality and de-attached from now...

I try to reality-check and ground when it happens.

Yep. I've had hallucinations (visual and auditory). It was a comfort to learn that it is more common than I previously thought.

Thanks for the information. I have been treated over the years for PTSD and anxiety issues but my condition has deteriorated and now they added bi-polar and DID. Both I know NOTHING medically about. I can speak volumes on the experience and now that it was been defined it explains alot of things but again I didn't know being bi-polar could present psychosis with it. I'm sooo glad to know many people have this and it's regular.

I became so paranoid. I thought my husband and co-workers were plotting against me and having me followed. I was also having these crazy thoughts that I was able to control people with my computer. I have bipolar I & Abilify is my antipsychotic.

I once thought my doctor was trying to make me psychotic so that he could have an excuse to put me in a psych ward and feed me to cannibals. Needless to say, I didn't tell him about that one! Or any of it really and then when my mood improves, I forget about it or think it so silly I don't bother sharing.

A weird part about these strange thoughts and stuff I get is that I usually know it is crazy but, believe it anyway. Maybe a side effect of a religious upbringing. I was taught faith and to believe in an invisible spiritual war going on. How can I have a proper capacity to question psychosis?
