Was invited to see some bands play but think I'll stay home. Trying to stay sober this year so hopefully in bed early so I can go to gym next morning

My husband and I are probably going to make a fancy dinner and some drinks and enjoy the Eve of the New Year at home.

Well, there are already two guys off New Year's Eve. My boss asked me if I could work the midnight shift. I responded, "Well I guess I don't need to go out and get completely *********." He thought that was a swell idea. (He heard to fire call the night I rolled my truck DUI style in the area his volunteer fire company covers)

So I'll be hanging out at the coal mine, streaming the ball drop live off the internet and playing the audio over the paging system for all the men underground to hear.

I haven't done anything on New Year's Eve for many years. Wow. I can't think of anything exciting I've done on New Year's Eve and I'm 46. You would have thought that there would have been a few exciting nights in my past.
