Probably not. Have they considered perhaps combining lithium with the lamictal? Are you in therapy to work on your problems with temper, etc.?

I take 150mg. I was stepping up the med and hit 150mg and my Pdoc and I decided to just "sit there" for a while.. I think it just took time for my body to adjust to it, well any med to be honest. I do also take Lithium but it was my second try on lithium that worked, first time I was too impatient for results lol
I'm sorry I can't remember if you had tried it or not.

I hope you find something soon that gives you some relief.

Before I went off my meds I was on 600mg lamictal (lamotrigine) and 2mg risperidone. I had good days and bad but overall my temper was fairly stable with a few rages. After a year off we tried Geodon and good lord did I rage. Now on 15mgs Abilify by itself and have not had a single tantrum. She's still thinking of going ahead and raising me to 20mg because my emotions are still a bit erratic but then so's my life.

In my experience with medications, if something is meant to be for me, it starts working at reasonable doses. I was taking Seroquel and it did not work and upping it till 900 mg still did not work. Plus, higher doses translate into worse side effects as a matter of rule. Better try a new medicatiion.

That is what happened to me I hit 400 but the anger was all coming back. I loved lithium but the side effects for me were to much but I would definitely give it a try. I did not gain any weight I just peed all the time so it kept me up all night and my skin broke out in horrible cystic acne. I was already prone to this acne so I think it just aggravated it. it really mellowed me out. I am now trying tegretol.

Lithium has caused me no fatigue and for me its weight neutral. I have no side effects from Lamictal and Lithium. All the other AP's caused me ridiculous amounts of side effects and were not helpful.

Everyone is of course different.
