My Pdoc had discussed trying Lamictal but has now decided to try Geodon. I must say when I first Googled it I found a lot a of negative reviews. Have any of you tried it? Did it help?

I'm really not excited to try it but I have to. I see my Pdoc again in 8 weeks.

Now that ive read all the info on Geodon's website I'm scared to try it. I stay home all day by myself with my small kids. Sleepiness, dizziness, blood pressure problems and possible heart rythym problems? For real?
My husband won't be home again until Monday. Should I just try it then or what? I dont have high blood pressure now but I have had it in the past. Is that a concern with Geodon?

I felt narcoleptic on it. I couldn't function. I once fell asleep at the table while talking to my mom and eating breakfast... Then again I was 17 and on a fairly high dose.

Drug companies have to list every possible side effect to cover themselves legally. Look up Tylenol.. long list of side effects up to and including death.
If you really are worried about this medication or any other talk to your Pdoc. Maybe you and he/she can decide on a medication that you are okay about trying or being on. Good Luck with whatever you decide on

I've only ever had the Geodon injection when they were trying to make me sleep most of the day when I was inpatient. Wow - that is strong! I was also given one injection in the morning and I felt like a zombie on it, so naturally I just went back to sleep.
Just to highlight - this is the injection -NOT the tabs as most people here are talking about.
