If I'm lucky, I'm averaging 2 showers per week.

It's Tuesday. My last shower was Sunday. That's not really a big deal yet.

Before I took that shower last Sunday, my previous shower was Thursday. I was really stinky by then because I had gone walking at the gym.

Why do we do this to ourselves? Why do we skip showers?

I usually come up with great ideas in the shower. I rarely follow through with them, since I'm such a loser. When I'm hypo manic, I get amazing thoughts in the shower and add them to my huge list of things to do, to be, to visit, and to accomplish before I die. That huge list taunts me when I'm on the downside, as I am now.

Now my skin is getting nasty. I was going to make an effort to shave my legs so I could use up some of the pre-paid massages I have built up from my monthly membership at a place in town, but then I realized my shoulders, back, and upper arms have broken out because of this lack of hygiene.

We are right brain ppl, when we shower and or drive we go in automatic mode; then the right brain takes control and just brings lots of amazing ideas...

I don't know why we do the things we do, lack of self esteem, lack of motivation... Or too many things in our heads that we can't decide how to start...

Well it sounds like your having a rough time. Im sorry to hear that. But I make myself take a shower everyday because it makes me feel better to be all clean and sparkly. Just try and make yourself do it, thats my best advice itll make you feel better I promise.

First off YOU are NOT a loser. 2 showers is better than none. The thought of getting in the shower is too much to handle, but once we are in there we feel better. Go buy some wonderful smelling body wash.. Currently I'm using this apricot orange stuff . It smells so yummy .. 1.00 at Walmart. Maybe it would help? You are not a loser, you just have hit a rough spot. Everything changes.

I'm actually struggling with this too. I've been struggling since the baby was born last year. I just am so exhausted I don't wake up in time, or I'm taking care of the baby and have no time at night. I had a shower Saturday and one this morning... last week I don't remember. But I know it's been only 2-3 a week recently.

Also struggling to get clean clothes. Doing laundry has been more than too much. I am right there with you.

I wish I struggled with showers because my hair would be better. X_X

I wash my hair too much and my bathroom is my haven. I tend to spend too much time in the bath tub when I'm feeling down. :'(

I used to spend a lot of time in the bathtub, back when I could comfortably fit into the tub.

Now I must use the shower because I'm so fat.

But when I fit in the tub, I would take bubble baths several times a week, in addition to regular showers in the morning to get ready for the day.

Most of my time spent in the tub was daydreaming, writing lists of things I need to accomplish in my life, writing affirmations that I never followed through with, writing lists of everything I had ever done wrong with my life, and pretending I was being interviewed for talk shows about my fame and fortune.

Thanks!

Unfortunately, the nice-smelling bath stuff isn't even a temptation anymore.

Maybe I am going to have to work harder to force myself to get up at a decent time and stick to a schedule.

I wish I was that productive in the tub!

My partner and I are bath lovers. I knew that we were meant to be when we had to fight for the tub. |DDD;;;;

I like hot showers. >_>

Sometimes wearing less clothes prompts me to take a shower. I like underwear though. XD

Hey Purple ... What if tomorrow the only thing on your to-do list is shower? Expect yourself to just shower. I feel like maybe your drowning with a to-do list that not even a super hero could handle.
