Hey all who's into dyeing your hair and what colors do you like? Mine is blue currently but I'm going grey/white next. Ido it when I'manic most of the time ill be up at 1 and dye my hair an odd color, and yes I usually have a different color laying around. Just figured I'd ask. It could get interesting.

I like having my hair color, but I really hate the part of actually dyeing it! Do it anyway, because the alternative... just, no. I've been doing a mix of 3RV and 3N (red-violet and dark brown), so it comes out pretty cool like a dark cranberry/purple-y color.
The last time I'd procrastinated too long (my hair grows really fast) and then did something, I don't know, but it came out kind of crappy. Mostly I think it was attempting one shade lighter on the brown. Doesn't look at all right. So back to the original combo it is.

Right now it's half bleached. Usually it's pink, or purple also when I'm manic.

my hair is henna red (need retouching badly, but try dying your hair with powdered plant... so messy!).

but if you need advice on natural dyes world, dial me:P (I tried indigo as well).

for colors, I have clip ins. One dude once called it "cheating" (doesn't he know how female world works?).

My favorite color I dyed my hair was chocolate cherry. Now I'm reddish blonde. I'm going in soon to the hair dresser to get my roots touched up.

I love dying my hair. I've had every color at some point. That was back in the day when I didn't have a job and thought I was going to be picked up as a world famous author, so I didn't need to look for a job.... ahem....

These days at my job I have to stick to the "normal" hair colors. Right now it's really close to my natural color because I don't always have the money to buy a box of dye. So it's brown.... not a lovely brown, either.... just.... brown.... and I hate it....

My favorites for "normal" colors are always blonds or reds. My favorite fun colors have been cream sickle (platinum roots with orange outside,) black and white stripes, and pink.

I really want to dye my hair crazy colors (like all aqua blue) but I don't have the courage, haha. Last February, I dyed my tips pink. It was fun...and I dyed my hair black for halloween this year (I was Severus Snape! )

I want to do like a mahogany with a reddish/purple tint but I have to be careful. If it turns out too purple or red it's not good at my job... My hair takes color like crazy. I think that's because it's not happy about being brown either.

Back when I had just a little bit of grey (I started going gray at 26 and am now 40) I used to mix my own henna and it came out beautifully. My original hair color is dark brown almost black. So I had this rich color with the perfect red highlights. Now, since I have so much grey I can't use henna without having extremely red hair. So I have it done professionally back to my regular color, dark dark brown with a rich red undertone. I love it!

Just tried out black. Always wanted to, but all my lady friends said I shoudl never ever. So I did it anyway. All about making YOU happy, right. Got cheap stuff, so it didnt come out very black, but def much darker (I already have dark brown hair) and with some wax it gets a shiny black sheen.

I really like it. Might even get it pro dyed when I get my hair cut next. Which might be soon as I havent gone in over 2 months and left it fairly long then. The top is soon 4-5 inches.

My typical guage was running my fingers through my hair. If any stuck up abover the level of my fingers, it was time for another buzz

Oh I have had damn near any color you can imagine. I was 15 when I started going gray, yeah sucks to be me! By 1997 I was 100% gray, so I color ever 14 days, I can not handle seeing regrowth. It is a rich Black. I would love to bleach out my tips and go with a blue or teal, But I am broke and cheap and always do my own hair.

Christina teal was the first colour I ever dyed my hair, I was 13 and have not seen my natural colour since. I have tried out every colour, put chrome spray paint on it and some other bad stuff. I think the teal or blue tips would look awesome on you. Do you have a beauty supply store near you?

I don't recommend spray paint no matter how cheap any of us can be but how else you gonna get matalic hair?

Now I am kinda bummed, my hair was a very pale blonde and I missed it through all the years of dyeing it. It's starting to grow out, and I got a few inches of my natural colour. Now it's a light to medium ash blonde. I want to let it grow out with no more hair dye, just to actually see it. Looks a bit mousy to me I dunno.

I know this.. when I am older want to have long grey, or silver hair and wear it in two buns, kinda like Mrs.Clause, Santa's wife always looks so warm and comforting.

My hair is so ash blonde I am not sure if I have any grey, think it would blend in too well. Man I hope this colour looks nicer grown out.

Clinte I had my hair Judy Jestson white last year. Have you tried it yet? My hair is pretty light to begin with and this was still really hard to accomplish but it did look really cool. I found some really good ways to get this done. You literally cannot bleach it pale enough, it will turn to mush first. Manic Panic has the white snow one , but it only lasts like 2 washes before the blonde starts to show again no matter how light you go. Can get pretty expensive and time consuming.

If you go grey or white let me know and maybe I can help you out if you want.

I think my real hair color is probably very gray. But I will probably never know because coloring my hair is so fun. I have been going to the same hairdresser for a long time. I don't think I can count all the various colors I have been.

Right now it is a medium brown with Carmel highlights. Usually for spring I go much lighter. I have green eyes and pale skin, so my hairdresser loves to do me in various shades of red.

I think my real color when I was younger was brown with natural auburn highlights ?

I have never tried purple, blue, pink, I feel I am too old for this. I do at times clip long feathers on long chains in my hair, like Stephen Tyler.
