I was hoping some of you ladies could help me. I am 41 and feel like I am going through some perimenopause symptoms. I know that decreasing estrogen levels can lead to depression. Has anyone ever had hormone testing and been treated with something to balance your hormones and felt better? I have heard of progesterone creams, etc. I am already on a birth control pill and antidepressant, mood stablizer, etc. but still in a bad way. I thought I would like to get this checked out. Any information you have would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Most of the hormone therapy I have heard about does say it can help with mood and the other symptoms of pre-menopause and menopause. I did soil studies on estrogen ans synthetic estrogen, but that's where I got the majority of my knowledge.
Def. be something to GOOGLE or go over with your doc. I am sorry to hear you have to deal with this on top of all your other issues. Wish I could offer more, but this is one of the many reasons I thank God I was born a male. Best wishes and good luck.
