The monster inside
is me
the real me
the untamed me

The monster inside
is who i am
Im a monster
Im am dangerous

The little boy inside
Screams
Afraid of the monster
Not sure how to cope

The little boy inside is lost
Terrified
Cant accept
That he is also a monster

I am a monster

I would say the monster is the child just needing some love and acceptance.

I feel ya Clinte. There is a very horrible, evil, destructive person inside me, waiting to be unleashed upon the world. I kept him buried for 20 years with the help of my parents, the clergy, and Scout leaders, even though neither they or I knew it at the time.

When I went away to college, and got away from all those things for the first time, he started to show his ugly head. He became known as "Toolie" among the people closest to me that began to see and feel his wrath. He is not an alternate personality, just me in an unstable condition.

But with the help of doctors, medications, and now just personal insight and will power, he is once again entombed in the labrynth that is my mind.

I need my dark side to manifest to help me realize I had a problem that could be treated. Who knows where I'd be if he hadn't. Dead most likely....

I feel like a monster a lot of times. people tell me that i'm not, but I can't help but wonder if they were to feel the way that I do... if they would run away screaming. screaming "monster!"

I totally get it. but for as much as you feel like a monster, there is a part of you that does not feel that way. that part of you must really be hurting.. it is for me when I turn to the monster instead.

these things will pass. when? I don't know... but just keep in mind that you won't always feel the depression and the anxiety, nervousness and restlessness that come with a mixed episode.

take care of yourself, and looking forward to hearing how things are going in the morning.
