And Blue you made it worse with david bowie, now I am on the moon!!

I am getting my bathrooms ready to paint today, yay finally... when they painted them they painted right over someones long hair stuck all over the wall. I am not kidding.. a hair rat soo ewww.

I got a going above and beyond certificate thing from my work.

I found a dress that looks like the universe.. it's pretty awesome, $10 bucks..crazy.

It is my bf and mines anniversary, well was, but we were both sick so didn't celebrate, didn't even say happy anniversary to each other, just changed the date.. that's allowed right? So get to have a special date tomorrow night. We did not have the easiest year, but we made it.

I feel really really good today, it has been a rough winter. I wanted to share, I am too excited and bouncy to contain myself today. I feel like the air I breathe in is magical, like I can feel every particle and it is just warm and blissful, elevating...levitating.

Wow! Happy anniversary! Of course it's allowed to change the date and celebrate when you're both feeling well. No fun going out if you're sick.

Universe sounds pretty. You should post a pic if you can.

Bathroom walls.... once my family was selling a house we had been renting to the "nightmare renters." My uncle let them live there a long time without paying rent and without checking on them.... the end result.... well, it still makes me sick and this was like 12 years ago now. But, one of the crazy thing was how much crap they had pained into the bathroom wall. Not just hair. Q-tips, razor blades, and some other unidentifiable things.... (which I would rather keep unidentified.) I always wonder how in the hell you get a razor blade stuck flat agains the wall, don't notice and paint over it????

Love this, Anika. It feels so wonderful and almost rewarding to have days like this! You deserve it. Happy anniversary, too

That hair thing is pretty gross. At my last job there was this high wac gloss on the ladies room floor and there were short and curlys in there!!!!!!EWWWW!!! I think that might be up there with the wall hair. Every single time I used the restroom I looked at those gross hairs. Ugh. Wish I could get that image out of my head....oops- look what I did- now you all will imagine it. Sharing is caring

Eww, both of you my sympathies. Hair really freaks me out when it is not attached to a human. The bathrooms I have to clean at work... you can imagine. How do they just paint or laquer over it, razor blades...q-tips... wtf!! Who does that, how does that... I am so confused about that. Kind of defeats the purpose of the painting.

Thanks guys, it is really nice to have times like these, I have been so bummed and down because of being sick. But not this weekend, I am gonna kick it to the curb. Hopefully it can stay there for a while.

Ok Dark, because you have been talking about clothes I'll give you a pic. I found it at a store that doesn't usually have much I like, but the store is pretty cheap, they always have sales on.

In a marvelous way

It's actually sheer material, but has a built in mini dress under it.

Heh ok back to work.

Thank you Christina!

Well pain is still there, but I am not trying to toss it out. At least out of my mind. It has taken up too much attention lately, need to get my mind past it, because otherwise it is just blinding my world.

The hair, while a few might not be too bad, it's like a not a few, it's a lot. And the paint is very thin soo. I tried to ignore it, but it is right under the towel bar, and every time you use the toilet you are staring straight at it.

What will be nice is not having white walls, my whole house inside is painted white and it feels so sterile, hospitally kinda feeling. It will be nice to have some colour to warm it up.

I didn't ask to paint, but I picked a colour that is earthy, nothing shocking or crazy, so I hope I don't get in trouble. I want to paint my room turquoise and I am gonna!!! And i am not gonna ask either haha. Well maybe I will ask.

So happy that you're happy, Anika! That's a gorgeous dress. I see what you mean about it having the universe on it. I understand your hair-not-attached-to-a-person issue. All that hair under the paint, yuck!

Yeah push the pain away and just enjoy! Sometimes mentally that's all it takes to get a step ahead of the pain and take back control.. lol or at least that's what I have to do.

I would most certainly have to re paint the bathroom. Ugh yuck

Ohhhhh turquoise... Nice !! My husband is a "white beige walls are fine/perfect. Blah. We repainted our whole house over the summer.. I did not want to argue about it all, but I said I get 2 rooms to paint how I want and not boring beige... I picked my bedroom and bathroom. It's a blue green .. I guess.. like a "moss color" ( hard to explain) very soothing color for me. Days when my pain is so high I am in bed , this color seems to wrap around me.

You need to have a great time , you deserve it

I'd like to do things on the walls like It looks like a stone archway leading down a long castle hallway.... oh, it's just a wall!

Haha ok I painted my entire living room and open dining room as a forest. Sky on the celing and we put in plywood floors and painted the forest floor and a pond. Had a huge tree stump for a tv stand. People thought we we nuts but I loved it. We had this old coffee table with claw feet, so I painted that as well. My kids were really little then and they loved it .

When my daughter was a baby I painted her room like a garden with a white picket fence and had little peapods, veggies and flowers dancing.

Painting over it all was a nighmare tho.

White isn't for me.

I don't mind white, but that's because we live in a house that is over 100 years old. So it has the dark, dark, dark wood trim everywhere. Dark wood pillars, dark wood moldings, dark wood doors, dark wood buffet with original mirror... everything. So the white against the dark wood is just this very old fashioned classical feeling.

Then amidst it all we have our little trinkets like Fairies and Dragons and swords, my mom's paintings and pottery, and a Master Cheif helmet, American McGee's Alice figurine, Buzz Cola cans.... So, yeah.

Now that the house is pretty much going to be ours I think we might start doing some more ineresting things.

Haha ok I shouldn't say white is not for me just not everywhere. I collect milk glass, I have a ridiculous amount of it... And it's all White and it looks lovely grouped together.

Your house sounds awesone DH. I have never lived in an old house but always wanted to. So much interesting details to them. Not just a box. Thats so cool that you can start making your own mark now. And the white would make the dark wood look stunning.

Christina.. Oh I love green, blue green, blue... Moss green... So nice. I love rich colours!!

Our house is cool but not in the best condition. I would like to make it more interesting. It's already interesting.

Old houses are neat but sometimes annoying. A lot of the plugs are on the light switches, so all the plugs are like 4 feet off the ground, except the ones my dad put in later. The front door is swollen and doesn't always close right. It's drafty. The windows are original and starting to crack. They are the old lead glass, and hard to replace. We have very little insulation in some places none. So, it can cost a lot to keep warm in the winter. My husband and I are good at snuggling, though.

The house has been in my family since it was built in 1901. My aunt says it was a house you could order out of the Sears Catalog. It's a duplex, so she lives on the other side.

YAY Glad you are feeling better, Anika.

Also I have changed anniversaries so we could celebrate. I think we had to put one year off by a week or two. xD
