I am curious..

Do you have minimal stuff or too much?

I am a minimal stuff type, I can not stand stuff. Every time I go through a closet or a room ( which is often) I get rid of loads of stuff. ( drives my husband crazy)

A bit too much probably. I love to hoard useless crap into the closets.

I have just enough stuff, just need a bigger house to store it all.

But I am pretty neat and tidy, but yes too much stuff. I collect too many things.

I have to much but most would think I have to little. My husband and son like their things. I'd rather a tiny, tiny studio with a kitchenette w. futon and loft bed.

I've always had a ton of stuff, then suddenly on the 5th of January, a switch flipped. I spring-cleaned my room and threw out everything, I mean everything, half my wardrobe (if not more) mementos and lord only knows what else. and yes we can commend hypomania for a job well done, but ever sincer then clutter all of a sudden irritates the bejeezez out of me and for the FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE, my room has been neat and tidy FOR WEEKS!!!... Everyday I scour the place for more stuff that needs to be chucked, so weird, coz I'm definitly not hypo anymore but went from loving stuff to being really irritated by stuff.
Idk what it is, my family is just as confused by the sudden neatfreak attitude I've adopted. oops I'm rambling again...

Too much stuff. I hate parting with books especially they're stacked everywhere and I'm not into shelves since the last big earthquake lol. I should make some shelves that have a wire across to hold them on the walls... I'd love to get tidy.

it's amusing how you've written this one Christina!..

I can't stand 'stuff' either...but I tend to associate the stuff with where the stuff was when I couldn't stand it...

...so then I desperately move it to somewhere else ...often in cupboards and then I don't want to see inside no more...till more stuff arrives? ugh
Thanks for this!

I have many sentimental things or useful things.... I'm not sure how to explain it other than to say ... I live with very minimal stuff,

I asked my T about it a long time ago, He feels its part of "my Bipolar" He said he has seen this in many of his patients. He said since my mind is always running at high speed I need my surroundings to be calm/peaceful/simplistic

So yeah hopefully that helps clear up my question

Was feelin a little haywire this morning, and cried because I thought my mother gave me a new pop up toaster... it has been sitting in a box at front door.

Where the hell will I fit it? I already have a toaster oven, one that barely works. Why the heck she gotta be such a hoarder lol. It will clutter the kitchen. I was seriously upset, and then the waste of money.

So I finally just yelled and opened the box and it's a very lovely toaster oven to replace my crappy one. I just misunderstood and thought she was wanting me to have 2 types of toasters. That made me cry again at my poor confused bp brain. And then missing mom.

No more "stuff" dammit!!!! lol

I have a few things I like around and most of it sits on the floor of my room I can rarely get in the mood to pick up.

Enough stuff for the space I have now. But I'd like a lot more when I get my own place.

I have way too much stuff.

I wish I didn't have so much stuff.

I look around at the clutter and it's overwhelming, so I leave the house instead of dealing with it.

The clutter is still here when I return.

There are tons of items that I don't use. Tons of clothes that I don't wear. Most of them don't fit. I saved my skinny clothes when I got fat.

I've read that you should throw out stuff that you haven't used in the last year because you obviously don't need it.

I can't seem to let go.

About 8 years ago, an acquaintance helped me bag up trash and declutter the house. But the clutter quickly took over again.

Sorry purpledaisy. That sounds terrible. Im sorry you have such difficulty with your stuff. But sometimes we have to remember it might help someone if they have some of our stuff, like clothes and such.

I'm definitely into having fewer stuff rather than more. The only items I have that don't serve a utilitarian purpose are my two stuffed animals and my pile of beanie babies. (And still I sleep with my stuffed animals and use them as pillows sometimes, so they have a purpose.) I love a neat, tidy room and I'm just bothered by useless things! I want to throw them away!

I totally know I have way too much stuff I will often want to fin something like a game that I know for a fact is somwhere in the house but I can never manage to find it again. I m going to start grabing up useless things and throwing them away.

As well as actively working on way to organize myself better. And hopefully all of this will make a difference.

It bothers me that I would go spend a lot of money on an item that just magically ends up disappearing I know this in part is a lot to do with my ADD issues. But its still REALLy annoying
