Hello, I've suffered from Bipolar disorder my entire life and am finally (relatively) stabilized as of about a year and a half ago. However I still have flare ups as we all do and in addition suffer from PTSD. I have no one to talk to about any other this as I don't know anyone in a similar condition or with similar experiences. My parents are amazing, but can't truly understand and my boyfriend completely shuts down whenever I bring any of it up. I feel very alone and could just use some advice or someone to talk to about all of this. Any input would be much appreciated.

my onset was at age nine, so I understand having the illness your entire life. growing up with it, not understanding it and coping with it as a kid.
I only got help for myself about a year ago as well. I still have episodes even though my meds appear to be the right combination as well. no, your not alone! |

I told my wife that I need to know that she really knows that I am suffering. I have chased all my friends away. She is the last person I fail to chase away. I don't need her to understand. I just need her to know. I need it. I gather every ounce of sincerity that I have and try all sorts of ways to make her understand that I need her to know. I am in my own way trying to know her love for me.
