I heard this while I was walking down the street last night at about 7 PM. Auditory hallucination or someone out there who is really confused about the time of day? lol

Ever experience something like this where it is possible that you are crazy, but also probable that your experiences stem from someone out there who is even crazier than you?

Who knows could go either way.

I kind of hear people saying stuff when I'm really down if I'm in a busy place. I think my brain misinterprets the noise into words like "ew look at her" or people laughing at me etc.

MaKes me sound a bit paranoid really. It's all a bit of a spectrum I think, and hearing the odd thing like your name and hello etc is totally normal. From memory I think the stat is 40% of ppl hear stuff?? Can't remember.

Or perhaps some person was haing a great time messing with you
Thanks for this!

That's an interesting statistic! It's possible that the actual percentage is even higher, because I'd imagine that most people wouldn't want to admit to hearing voices.

I'm not too concerned about whatever it is, unless it continues and gets more severe. I just thought that this particular instance was rather entertaining. But I think everything is hilarious now.

My pdoc once used the term "non-psychotic hallucinations." Because we have bipolar we are more sensitive to what might be symptoms. There is a mailbox that my brain always tells me is a threatening shadow of a man. I know it's just a mailbox. I not as certain when I hear my name or some other verbal comment, but I have no history of psychosis.

It happens. I have crashed into people crazier than I and it made me realize how sane I was.

Maybe it was two people having an argument and one was like sarcastic like "good morning! are we here on planet earth today?" Could be.

I have a huge tendancy to greet with the wrong time of day. I do it constantly all day every day. People really get on my case about it. I don't do it on purpose.

I was walking back to my apartment 10 min ago when I heard someone say "bona sera"-good evening! It was 2:15...maybe Italians just don't have a strong concept of what time of day it is?
