Do any of you find you put on a fake smile or otherwise happy notion to keep from being asked whats wrong. I am not depressed nor am I manic Im in the middle and I dont like it. It seems a good many of us are mixed around here. Maybe its the time of the year. i have enough energy to stay up all night but I am not motivated to do anything with it. this Sucks!

Agreed. Mixed episodes do seem to be in the air. Sometimes it's almost physically painful to pretend to be "happy" or "normal". It's exhausting... And so is being stuck in that middle state.

I also agree that mixed mood is in the air. I'm not crying but I don't have the energy to cook or do other things I normally do in the spring and summer. I fake a smile and try extra hard to do things that will put me in a happy state of mind.

I'm right there with you. I seem to be in a mixed episode right now.
I put on fake smiles all the time. If I don't, my wife will tell me to stop being crabby because it "turns people off." I wish I could just stop being depressed when ever I wanted, but those weren't the cards I was dealt. |

It is terrible. I've been trying to open up more to hubby because if I don't I end up exploding and causing a whole lot more trouble later on. But I'm the master of "I'm fine." No one but my parents and my husband know I've ever had major issues. Everyone else seems to think I cope well with "normal" depression and anxiety---as if either is really normal, right?
