this blank page was perfect
before these words that vandalize
the pure white page that before my words
held so much possibility and surprise

and now it's purity is defiled
by this alphabetical graffitti
it could have been a masterpiece
it could have been used so differently

but it's fate had been decided
when I logged onto psychcentral today
and decided to use it for this poem
this poem about a blank page

I guess it's a good thing paper doesn't feel
and have hopes and dreams
there are a lot of kinds of paper
and some are abused it seems

how would a napkin feel
cleaning up a spill...

or ewww, toilet paper
hmmm.. we just won't go there! lol.
Thanks for this!

I really liked this. It was funny/thoughtful.
