I just had my appointment with my therapist and my psych nurse practitioner. We discussed family therapy with my mom and how to get that set up. But mostly we discussed that my psych nurse practitioner is leaving. She's not just going on maternity leave in April, she's leaving and moving away! When my old therapist left, I cried. Not this time. Weird, since I've always liked her quite a lot. She's always been very good at what she does. Gotten me through many med changes and odd bipolar states. I will now get a resident for a few years. I have no idea what this person will be like, but I guess I'll just have to see. I hope they are good! Its the meds they will be messing with - and my brain! I also need to go get a new script for Zyprexa so I'm taking one pill twice a day instead of four pills a day. Oh darn.... I'm gonna miss her! She's having a baby in about six weeks and I wished her a happy labor and delivery and baby. She seemed a little taken aback when I talked about personal things, but I meant them, so why not? I just hope I get along with my next pdoc as well as I did with her. She is awesome. Edit: I've known her about six years.

Six years is a long time. I hope your next provider is just as good. I met my new pdoc today and she was ok. The fact that your not wanting to cry is growth on your part.

I still have my t and I like her a lot. It's just hard losing one or the other. They get to know you so well.

I guess losing them is inevitable because they are only people and they change and I'm always going to have bipolar.

I am so sorry, Moose. I guess we harden with time. I just removed my old t's phone number from my phone, but I still get angry when I go to the practice with my son, and still see her name on the door because she has paid the rent for a month or so, so she can get her stuff moved.
I am sure you are sad, tears or no tears. We put our lives out there and the reality is, if someone is doing their job effectively, we heal but we hurt. I am getting ready to post about a transference issue I am having, so I definitely get it! I hope the newbie is wonderful! Bluemountains |

Thanks blue! I understand about going by old doors or places where people have lived.m
Last summer I lost my T and I cried in her office. Guess that vaccinated me for today.
