I am new to the forum as well. I was also just recently diagnosed with BP and I am waiting to meet with my Psychiatrist again to start on new meds. My high started fall 2004 and I was up and down from there til Feb of this year where I was hospitalized for having severe depression, and wanting to commit suicide. That's when I actually met with my psych who changed my meds but at this point they still thought I was just depressed. However the highs and lows have become more intense, the yelling, the crying, the hyperness!!! I've come to learn that with the high's come the really bottom lows!! and those are the worst!! It's like getting hit by a truck!!! Like being out all night drinking, and waking up the next morning!!! Hopefully the meds will help as this is so exhausting!! But this site ironically makes me feel like home!

Be patient with finding the meds that work for you. It took a long & sometimes discouraging year (with bad side effects of meds) to finally get me on the right stuff. Been pretty stable for 4 yrs. now. Good luck & welcome. Let us know how you are doing.

Hello...My name is Patty & I have Bipolar2. Found out 3 years ago that I've had it along with Serve Depression,ADHD,& PTSD,Panic Attacks.
I just joined your web site today & trying to learn how to operate everything here.Am on 3 kinds of medication but I need to know if I'm really on the right ones. I've been on so many in the past & alot of them either didn't work or they had bad side effects for me.
I'm hoping I can & will make some new friends here as I have none in my life except my daughter whom we have a very loving mother/daughter relationship. Also it's so hard for me to find anyone to date as they won't have anything to do with me becuz of it!!
