Hey all.
It's been 3years since the manic episode to end all manic episodes and I'm just now starting to realize all the implications. I was 36 when I got the right diagnosis. Seroquel has helped along w/Prozac and serax for anxiety. I was manic/delusional/hallucinating from April to December. Said horrible things to the people I love, got a felony record from stealing a car(not usual behavior for me ![]() How can anyone say that they understand that you have a mental illness but then be soooo cruel? Plus i have a son w/autism. My husband's wonderful but I could use some family support. Glad you have this forum...thanks! Dylanzmama |

Hello! Sorry we were slow to get to your post. I'm not really sure your relatives do understand your bipolar disorder. I suggest you ask them to read more about it. I hope one day they will understand. In the meantime, stick with your treatment and do the best you can.
At least I am glad your husband is sticking by you. Do you think it would help any if he tried to talk to your sis and your uncle? ![]() |

Dylanzmama, we have alot in common. It's been three years since I had a manic episode to end all manic episodes. Delusions, hallucinations (auditory, visual, tactile, and olefactory)......it was my first and only mania and I didn't get my BP1 diagnosis until after it. I have a son who has a mental illness and two sisters who are not in my life. I have a husband who is wonderful. I didn't steal a car
