I have considered myself predominantly depressed, however my psychiatrist today pointed out that she believes I'm really predominantly anxious and that spurs the depression. So, it's hard to say where I am at on the 'spectrum.'
As far as I am aware, you are far from alone in how you feel, experiencing far more depression than mania. ![]()

I believe I am more depressed than manic, although I have just recently been officially diagnosed and I am only just learning to recognize my manic episodes. My depression tends to get pretty severe. If you'd like to chat about things, you can PM me or write here

My youngest sister has BPD2 and is mostly depressed. I have BPD1 and had mania only until this pass winter. I've been dealing with depression since October (daylight savings time). As spring approached my depression wasn't getting better so I had to have a med change.
