I've been on lamictal 200, zoloft 100 and seriquel 300 for the last few months. If anything I feel like things are actually getting worse. I'm more irritable and seem much more manic than might I normally would be.
My doc mentioned in the past that lithium may be useful and may help me be more stable. At this point I was thinking of bringing it up again. Does anyone have experience with lithium? What's it like? Do you think it could be a good idea? I'm still new on here so I'm not sure what information anyone may need in helping answer so just let me know, glad to answer questions. |

I've been on Lithium (900 and 1800) since Oct 2012. It really helped me stabilize. Before Lithium I was a wreck. I was very manic and very aggressive.

I hated it, couldn't or rather refused to tolerate the side effects, but others on this board swear by it, so hopefully it will work well for you too.
With meds you never know unless you try, so goodluck if you decide to give it a shot ![]() |

I hated the side effects Plus it was not effective for me and I couldn't go above 600mgs without becoming toxic. I experienced dry mouth, trembling, weight gain, and cognitive issues. That being said you won't know how you react unless you try it. Everyone is different and I have heard many people say it has been a life changer. So I would say try it and see what happens.

I'm currently on 900 mg of Lithium and tapering of Seroquel. So far the side effects have been mild enough that it's not a bother.
I'm doing so much better since we add the Lithium and it seems to be working well for me. Ive been on it for almost 4 months now. |

Different people react differently, but on the most general level, I personally have a bias towards Lithium and against AP's. So I think Lithium should be tried BEFORE Seroquel is tried, unless you use low dose Seroquel strictly for sleep. Your 300 mg of Seroquel is medium dose.
