Hi everyone,
I have an appt w/ my pdoc in two weeks. I've decided to stop using Risperidone (2). I will continue taking Lithium (1800) and Lamictal (50). I thought abt taking 1mg for two weeks then nothing. I just spoke with pharmacist...suggested same as I thought but for one week. Of course he also suggested I speak my pdoc first.

What side effects are you having in the risperdal? I had lactation so had to quit.

How long were you on it before you noticed weight gain ?

I gained weight from it as well, about 1 lb a week so I stopped taking it with no problems.

I called the nurse line at my pdocs office around 1:30. I never heard back. I don't think it's necessary for me to be seen. My pdoc didn't put me on Rispderal, I was taking it when I started seeing her. I'll just taper off like the pharmacist told me and its the same way I started it
