I went to bed feeling fine and stable. I woke up feeling terribly down and crying. I just want to curl up in bed and cry. What happened? Why did this happen? Nothing triggered this. I just woke up in a completely different place emotionally. Does this happen to anyone else?

Yes. I will be fine one day and just wake up in a cloud. It's not fun. I don't know what causes it, either.

I had that on Sunday. I have been flying high for two weeks except Sunday I almost hurt myself because of depression. I think it might have been triggered by drinking the night before or having to see my mother in law or both. But now I'm back in space so who cares?

I don't remember how my last depression started but I'm pretty sure it was the same, just woke up and bam, depressed.

It is so frustrating. How can I prevent something if there is no trigger?? :-(

Exactly....I posed the same question on a different thread. There are moods in between having an episode. And the moods are not situational (something happened).

How much sleep had you gotten when you woke up? What was the weather like? What were your plans for the day? What was the first thing you did when you woke up?

It's sunny. Rockets you out of bed huh. LOL. I kept waking up through the night. I took a Trazadone at 4:30am. So when the alarm went off I was still sleepy. IDK if I was sleepy or the Trazadone had me sleepy. So based on your questions do all these things help determine our moods?
