I just found out my thyroid is out of whack again. Now I'm doubting the dx. Yes, the meds have made things better but is it a coincidence or really helping because of the bp?

I know that thyroid causes a lot of things that are also part of bipolar. I do know that I've had problems most all my life and honestly don't remember if after thyroid treatment I was mentally better. I do know I wasn't "crazy" like I feel now the first time my thyroid went wonky. I felt sick then, physically. Now I just feel sick mentally.

So confused.

The problem now is that if I get my thyroid under control, I'll also have been on the meds long enough that it still could be either making me feel better. Ugh. How do you differentiate between what is bp and what is thyroid?

I felt sick physically for a while until I got more seriously ill mentally. Don't know if that's relevant information for you, just thought I'd share.
Thanks for this!

You could log your moods, get your thyroid under control. Then have a second opinion abt your dx. I recently had a third opinion (yes really). Get another opinion helped me begin to accept my BP dx.
