So I had an interview this morning. My nerves are still all out of whack. I need this job so desperately. I need to start work immediately. But, instead it's hurry up and wait. They are supposed to check my references, and if they like what they hear, they will contact me by email within the next few days.

WTF! How long should I wait before I know I don't have a job. I've stressed all week about this interview, and now, I still know nothing, and very little clarification on time frame.

I've got to find a way to turn off the panic button.

Good luck! I hope you hear back soon. The anxiety builds in me the longer I wait. Follow up with a thank you card or email. Always a good gesture & may prompt them to contact you sooner.

Prayers and best wishes

It's a job working in a group home with mentally handicap adults. The anticipation of waiting is hard for me. I suppose I'll know soon enough. Thanks everyone for cheering me on!
