I went to the pdoc today cause I've been doing pretty bad. I told him how I started taking tegretol again since early last month and he was like "I'm surprised you've made it this long, and haven't been in to see me."
![]() He ended up raising the tegretol to 800 mgs, the lamictal to 400 mgs, and the geodon to 240 mg. He left my lunch time dose of 20 mg of geodon alone, and my provigil at 400 mg. I really hope this works, b/c I would like to continue to work. I have to go back in a month, and get labs done the week before I go. Hopefully I'll remember to get the labs done. |

Well done for going back to see him. I think we often endure much more suffering and side effects than necessary - we just need to stay in touch with the professionals that are out there looking after us

Don't listen to your pdoc, Moreta. Us folks with bipolar are a lot stronger than the average person due to having to survive daily as we do. He just obviously doesn't understand that.
I agree with Suga, though, we tend to take more than we need to on ourselves for longer than we need to. But, once you're used to weathering the storm, I think you forget that people are out there than can help. I hope you feel better soon.
