I list my type, along with current meds below in my signature - BP1. I saw other people did that & liked the idea. What type are you?

BP I and PTSD (basically a lot of anxiety, PTSD I'd say just describes the origins and triggers).

Pain affects my mood, so I'll add a great deal of lumbar and cervical spine degeneration due to an accident I had a long time ago leading to chronic pain. A separate pathological chronic pain condition due to spinal cord damage/injury of several years ago, for which I take methadone (yes, for heroin addicts, also for severe chronic pain) --I think this has also added to the sedation of Seroquel, though the methadone has really saved my life in some ways.

Never been given a type I or II status, didn't even know there was such a distinction til I got on here, but given the descriptions in the research I've done, I'd most certainly be in the bp I category.

BP 2 whose pdoc may yet upgrade me to 1 because of my severe hypo/manic episodes and the prevalence of those episodes as compared with my depressive ones. Started out NOS though, and I also have anxiety though it's considered part of my bipolar rather than a separate diagnosis.
