I hope I am still welcome...

I seem to be cycling again... quickly. like within hours sometimes.

I was OK this morning and now I am fighting with sui thoughts.

I am still on meds and ECT, but I think meds are making me worse.

I have been reading about bipolar and nutrition and wonder if I could control it that way. Thing is, I can't seem to get my sh** together and get healthy.

Feeling hopeless.

Hi BNLsMom! Sorry you're having a hard time.

Staying on a healthy diet and exercising are the things I struggle with. Since I'm not on meds, I do try. But, also it's hard because I'm not a good cook and I've never been driven to exercise. So, I understand that side of it.

My biggest helpers are staying on a schedule. I try to do things the same way everyday, especialy the morning routine. That's the most important one. If I stick to my exactly pattern, then I have a much better day. I know that sounds weird. But, if I do one thing out of order it can put a strange spin on my day. That's how sensitive I can be to triggers.

Hi bnlsmom,
It's great to have you back! My t has told me that if I ever choose to give up my meds there are supplements/natural sources that have been proven to help some people with bipolar symptoms. I have not explored this option because I can't afford to experiment for a different solution right now. I'm sure if genetic sees this post, she will have some suggestions for a good diet.

Hi BNL I think I'm new since you were last here but hearty welcome back & nice to meet you!

I hope the hopelessness fades quickly, along with the rest of the negative stuff & you feel better soon.

Sincerely,
