Long story cut incredibly short:

7 years ago I had a manic episode that left me with enough debt to make Solomon blush and some pretty messed up credit. (What did I get? Electronics that are no longer even being used... rad.)

3 years ago my husband and I bought a house. My name was not on the loan since my credit never really fully rebounded. Could only get the house because my father in law cosigned on the house.

Last year... bought a new car... my name... still unable to be on the loan papers.

I work full time and for a while my husband was working part time so he could stay home and watch our daughter during the day. (Because holy mother, have you price checked day cares for kids under the age of like... 3? It's criminal! In my area the cheapest I could find was $800 a month. Really. Check it.) Anyway... moving on....

However for the last 6 months we've just been falling further and further and further behind with our bills. Really... since we bought our car we've never been able to get back from that. SO my husband takes a full time shift. (If there's anyone out there following the saga of Nessa there's a few threads I posted a while back about me being paranoid that my husband was cheating on me with his new partner of his full time shift. So far... so good with that though.)

Again... moving on.

He took this full time shift and we've FINALLY been catching up financially... BUT...

Pro tip: if you happen to be in the market for a house, Chase bank will not allow you to make partial payments online. SO! If you fall two months behind you must pay the ENTIRE amount due or nothing at all. I MEAN WHAT THE ACTUAL ****?! GREAT ****ING IDEA GENIUS WHOEVER THOUGHT THAT UP I HOPE YOU ARE NOW FIRED!

Breathe... moving on....

I make a pre payment online today for next Friday. Sorry Chase it's the best I can do... so please stop calling me and stop harassing my mail! Not 10 minutes after scheduling the payment online I hear a knock on the door and I look a literal mess. It's a certified letter from the mail carrier.

Chase bank has now turned us over to collections and is sending a representative to our house within the next 20 days. I'm going to die. I am literally going to die.

SIDE NOTE: my computer hates me and as soon as I'm done typing this out this ****ing piece of **** is getting thrown the **** across the room.

ugh I totally understand. me and my husband are in the same boat but we don't even have our own place at the moment. I can't wait until we can save enough to move out! If we ever can!

Sprint is doing the same thing to us - either we pay our whole balance or nothing. they're mad that i broke our contract. well guess what I don't care! I don't have the money for the whole balance so DEAL WITH IT!!

I hate money too. Let's start a club.

by the way I love the way you write. It's hysterical in a dark way.

I love how when you owe someone money they think that calling you 5 times a day is really going to solve the issue. Really? Like, really?! Um, no Sallie Mae (the WORST about this). While I appreciate their persistence in leaving a million automated messages on my phone, if I don't have the money, I just don't have the money. Like you said, deal with it!!

heh heh Thanks!!! That just made my day a little better.

Saving money is SO incredibly hard. I can't even fathom how people manage to do it. It makes me seriously feel like I've missed a memo somewhere or I'm just flat out doing something wrong.

I hate money too! Nobody is calling anymore thank God! But the buses were on strike for 3 weeks which means I had to travel (in a very roundabout fkn manner) to get to work via many taxis which means I used up a months worth of bus fair in a just over a week!!!!

Payday is faaaarrrrr and not me nor my brother have a cent to our names because of that stupid strike so had to borrow money from a friend for busfair and food and NO IDEA how to pay it back because I only have 2 salaries left before I'm out of a job and need to spend it all on my daughter for school, uniforms and travelling because Idk how long before I find a job!!! Grrrrrr

Collections people are the worst! Do you know that while I was unemployed they suggested I ask a family member to borrow me money to pay my account??? I'm like "and HTF do I pay them back without an income? Are your deaf or retarded?? Just wait for your fkn money!!" Oooh and they called my dad for an unsettled account 3yrs after he's cremation I told the lady "Wesley is unavailable at present, but if it's urgent I suggest you call a psychic and have a séance to call on his spirit and find out when he will be settling his debt!"

urgh money sucks WetRabidDogAss!!!!!!!
