Its raining cats and dogs, pretty sure there are some monkeys involved too. From what I can tell, it hasn't stopped since I went to sleep.

I'm sorry, but I'm not willing to stand out in the rain getting soaked to the bone waiting for buses to take me to work. Work is not worth being flat on my a.s.s sick AGAIN. 2 months of germs was more than enough.. I still have some lingering flu symptoms and I want them to go away, not return with a vengeance!

So it being Thursday is a perfect day to stay home, why you ask? Well because I don't own any money to go to a gp, but I can go to clinic (MH is Wednesday + Thursday) and ask PNP to schedule me for T asap, as I think I need the extra help transitioning at this point anyway, with all the ******** and changes going on.

Omgeee Lia seeking out a T! No wonder the weather's wack

LOL LOL LOL

Hehe, I'm quite curious myself... Last time didn't go so well, I basically gave the lady the middlefinger and didn't look back.

I'm worried though, what if they want to medicate me? Apparantly they like us all doped up like good lil soldiers. Well if they force the med issue, in order for me to see a T, I'll just make sure there's no lithium involved this time around. That way I can flush them monthly without outing myself with blood tests.

I'm kinda nervous. Haven't been there since 2011 and I know Nurse Jacobs is gonna ask alot of questions... Thanks for the luck MM I'm gonna need every ounce.

Seriously , I don't think a "OMG you must be on meds" nah , don't see it. You are able to articulate to others what you are feeling and going through. You are choosing to see a T , on your own and your looking for help navigating some deepshit.

Plus you can always dump the drugs

You're right, on all counts,as is your usual MO

Its just the mentality of the people here at the clinic that worries me. I'm sure she's gonna bring up meds because if I'm requesting that she make a T appointment, something is wrong, and with MH, those somethings tend to be doped up...

But yes I can flush them if seeing a T is dependant on whether they get to medicate me or not... Fact is, T would be beneficial at this point and if I have to fake take meds to see one I bloodywell will.

Don't stress the meds but be upfront that you didn't have a good experience with them and don't have plans for them in your future.

Awww I love you guys!
The PNP didn't mention doping me up, just asked what has brought me back after so long. He put my name on the T's list and said she'd call to set up an appointment. And I have a medical certificate so my butt is covered at work

i doubt they will force you, but you might get a person who's gonna automatically suggest "meds" for every problem you have. Make that clear in the beginning it didn't work in the past and you are better off.

Yes Venus, thats sound advice. I will make it abundantly clear that I'm not willing to go down that path again... Just have to remember to be upfront about it!

I hope all goes well at the T, sis. I'm glad you're reaching out for help if you feel you need it.

In my experience the Ts I had never suggested meds. But, I got a lot of those happy puppy rainbow Ts who just believed in happy thoughts. This was before my diagnosis, though, so maybe it will be different now. The only T I had since diagnosis was my psychologist and I was on meds at the time I saw her, so nothing to suggest....

It's weird, it was raining cats and monkeys here yesterday too. But, it all started with a huge disk shaped cloud that looked exactly like in that movie Independance Day when the spaceships first arrive. I took a picture it was so freaky.... duhn duhn DUUHN....

it takes a lot to seek out a Therapist or a Psychiatrist/psychologist. I hand it to you, I've never had it in me to do that.

I was pushed right into my psychiatrists office by the psychologist that my wife almost forced me to see.

so hearing that you are seeking one out, to me, means that you have a very strong will.

by the way... are you Lia or is that someone else?

DHX That is some freakyassshit! I hope its a good T, I don't get to pick and choose at a free clinic. She will be calling me to schedule an appointment because she is an independent T who visits the clinic twice a week. I have no idea how long it will take though, saw about 10 ppl she needs to call and obviously have no idea whats already on her calendar... There were very few people today so hopefully that indicates that she's not drowning in patients...

DF Thank you for the vote of confidence, I'm definitly not a therapy fan, so its a huge step for me to seek one out instead of someone "strongly suggesting"... And yes, I am Lia
