Oh sis! That is so exciting!

You are going to do awesome at your interview. Because all of your awesome & smart qualities are going to come shinning right through. And, you have such experience with dealing with people online. So if it is customer service type stuff, you know how to deal with people who can be a bit moody, and still be helpful and give reassurance. So, all of this will come out as the confidance you show here on the board.

All the positive great job vibes are coming your way!

Sending good vibes and praying that the interviewer will be one of broad interests and
compassionate behavior and strong liking for your personality. You'll get the job.

Thank you ladies

I think I figured out the outfit. Designer Jeans (for fashion element) shirt, tie and bf blazer for businessy flair and some nice heels

I applied for a Junior Administrator post and it will be a breakfast interview at some Upmarket Café. Not that I'd be able to eat

I think it will be good bcoz it won't be in a stuffy office. so at some point I'll be able to relax. Apparantly they import clothing and accessories... I'm still doing my homework on the company.

Wow, sounds interesting.

That sounds like a really good outfit, too! Good thinking to dress fashionably. I don't think I would have thought of that, so you're one step ahead already.

Prayers, Good luck...
Your choice of an outfit sounds great, perfect for a positive impression. You are great, and you will show them this! One of those little pointers I read lately is to keep your shoulders relaxed!

Thank you for the vote of confidence on the outfit!

My shoulders don't relax unless I concentrate on relaxing, which defeats the purpose of relaxing Thanks for the reminder, I will keep that in mind and atleast appear relaxed

Ack... and I thought it was yesterday. LOL.

My arithmatic tool is bent in the middle, rusted, and I think I lost the pencil when I was only 6 years old.... so, I'll trust what you say on that one. Haha.

I know they'll love you, how could they not?? But I remembered another interview tip - Sit leaned back (not slouching), it shows more confidence than leaning forward.
Confidence balanced with humility...
I like to ask tough questions when interviewing. Like the one they call the killer question: So, tell me a little about yourself... More of a request than a question, usually just a good way to get the ball rolling.

Keep it short, sweet and positive.
Example answer for you might be something like: "I'm a hard worker, my strongest skills are .... , I know a lot about fashion and business and supervising. I'd say my key accomplishments are ... How about you?"
Ending with a question, ball in their court showing your involvement & enthusiasm.

If they ask about your worst boss or job or biggest challenge ever in a job, keep it light - stay positive. Like, "I did have a manager who put a lot of strict deadlines, and that was a huge challenge, but I actually succeeded, stepped up to the challenge and got the job done, and it ended up being a good experience."

Or if they ask for your strengths and weaknesses... strengths are easy but weaknesses are tough. And people who tell me too much probably aren't going to get the job.

For you - if they ask a weakness, with what I know of you, I would say, "I can get impatient with projects not happening fast enough, honestly. I want to stay busy and creative. For example, my career growth, I want to get in there, work hard, be a part of the fashion industry - it's always growing, changing, and that is really exciting to me."

And stay positive about current job and reasons for leaving... Don't tell all lol...

Sorry if I'm telling you things you already know! Just excited for you, wish I could drive you there, wait outside and then scream our heads off in the car after - windows up of course lol!!! Love ya

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU "C"

I confess I will be reading and re:reading this post many times between now and 8:30!

DHX Don't worry, mine breaks intermittently, its weird, and very much mood related, when I'm up I can make sums in my head no problem, and have created my own methods of calculating (and passed tests) because I forgot school methods... When I'm down or maybe even baseline I can't tell what's 20-6! Seriously, I have to count over and over in the taxi to see if R14 is the correct amount of change to expect Yesterday I re-taught myself long division because Jordan didn't know how to do it for homework, and her teacher is convinced that examples on a board are enough to teach 9 and 10y.olds... Retard! Anyway, I'm proud of myself though

Me too! My math skills are crazy unreliable... Sometimes feel like a freaking genius and other times duhhh... can't compute... Today , the thought of math , and accounting is my main job , makes me want to barf, so I'm staring at computer screen. I hate all division long short it all sucks! I'd rather multiply something by it's percentage equivalent than divide lol. Oh well, it'll pass. So when my daughter was going through hell learning multiplication/times tables in 4th grade, I decided to let her draw and paint the tables on her wall next to her bed. That was fun - and it worked! I should prob eat something - forgot to eat yesterday and again today.

DH I wish you could do the Lumosity, I think it might be helping me - you could ask them for a scholarship, and that you could refer people to them... they have the money to spare, but you won't get what you don't ask for. I could share my account with you but then we wouldn't be able to track progress...

I can't wait to hear about your interview Lia. I think it's a really good sign meeting you at coffee shop. That's what I do when I really like a candidate and want to impress them, cuz a good candidate is interviewing me as well.

I did that with my old beloved office manager, he was so great. He told me later that he was on the fence because he had other offers with higher pay, but that he was sold when he saw me run after a lady who'd dropped her bank card on the ground. Good deeds pay off.

Numbers are my enemy. I can't even add 100 + 20 most times... I use a calculator. LOL. I've always been bad at math. At 6 years old we'd have time test at school and I was too slow. I couldn't finish 100 problems in time. Unfortunately my teacher was a B from hell. She would make me sit in the classroom at lunch and not let me eat if I didn't finish my time test on time. (Eventually she got found out and fired!)

In 10th grade I sat right next to the teacher's desk, like... my desk against her desk. She would sit there and explain the process. I would do 1 - 2 problems max, then she would have to re-explain. I was at elementary school level when I got to college. The main reason I gave up my dream to become a doctor was because of my problems with math. I'm really good at every other subject, but not math.

Blue: I have no idea how they would give me a scholarship.... no idea. But, I have downloaded free games on my new phone. They are all Lite versions.... but better than nothing.

By my calculations, 6hrs sleep max is well rested, more and I'm groggy, less is doable, but I want to look like sunshine when I wake up and thats harder to do in the cold! So its 23:30 now, which is perfect time to go sleep if I wanna wake up at 6am

Hair, nails and eyebrows are prettyfied, so its just basics and touch-ups in the morrow

Goodnight ladies and once again, thank you muchness, your input has been invaluable! I love you guys bunches

I got up at 2:35 A.M. thinking that we'd have a report on your new job and then realized
after looking at your post originally the interview is on Wednesday. (It's Tuesday here!)

So, we're all interested; please keep us posted. I think it will go really well for you, Trippin.

My interview went very well! Thanks Ladies It went so well that she took me to the office for an impromptu second interview (so that I don't need to take another day off) and I also got to meet the team, who each had to ask me 1 question.

It was relaxed yet kinda nerve-wrecking at the same time. El, the interviewer said it went well, but because its a small company she needs to check with her team first and see if they have concerns or objections. All in all I feel really positive, but she is still interviewing candidates tomorrow, although she made it clear that I'm already shortlisted and encouraged me to email her if I've heard nothing from her come Monday...

So now the waiting game commences...

Thank you very much for all the support, prayers, vibes and encouragement! I love you guys
